    Unlock Materia slotting?

    I know you need a craft till lv20 to do the quest to unlock Materia slotting. A website says you can't use Cooking but can you use Alchemy and DoL?

    I'm not 100% sure on that but I want to say one thing. If you are wanting to meld your own materia into your gear don't. Waste of time (for the most part). If that's the reason for you leveling a particular craft you'll kick yourself for it. You wear like 5-6 different crafting types of armor so in order for you to be self-sefficent you would need to be equal level to your gear in all of those crafts. Just shout in town that you're looking for someone to Meld for a tip.

    So I need to pay someone to put the materia in my armor?
