Future Crossovers

So by now I am sure everyone has seen the Lightning trailers, and know there is going to some content featuring her. With that being said, what other cross over characters would you like to see in the future. I mean the most obvious is probably going to be Cloud/Sephiroth which would be sweet imo, but what others?

1. Garland - The original garland bad boy.
2. Kefka - This guy is to final fantasy what joker is to batman.
3. Aerith - Would probably fit well into a Cloud/Seph mix.
4. Balthazar - Smooth talking fun, just an overall good char. Close second to Seltzer.
5. Sora/Riku - Not exactly Final Fantasy but thats ok.
6. Anima - This could be an awesome boss fight if done correctly.

3) Nope. I don't see the Final Fantasy 7 characters fitting in here, in any way, shape or form.
5) Rikku was a character in FFX, but not Sora.

I'd love to see Terra (The world) from FF9 make an appearance. Its another world so it could fit into any game.

Characters from other final fantasies fit just about as well as Lightning does. If they can put her in here, they could figure out a way to put anyone in the game. Also, Sora/Riku are from Kingdom Hearts, which has crossovers from FF already. I was not referring to FF10 Rikku.

But isn't Riku just a play on Rikku from FFX. I was always under the assumption they were the same character.

I know what you mean about the characters. SE can fcuk about with FF13 characters but leave 7's alone !

No they are not the same character at all lol. Riku was created specifically for KH, just happen to have a similar names.

ff7 could make an appearance since gold saucer is supposedly in the works.... I could see that.

The gold saucer will be in Ul'dah, they technically already have the entrance set-up. If you go to the puglist master, there is an npc outside of there that actually talks about the gambling and stuff and that they are not set-up yet for it but will be soon.

Yoshi-P himself already flat out stated a while ago that character crossovers from other FF games will not occur in ARR for characters whose 'stories are already complete, or are deceased as part of their respective storylines' - so no Cloud or Sephiroth crossovers.

Lightning and Shantotto's upcoming appearances are exceptions, as they are appearing as a result of specific special events (Lightning as cross marketing for Lightning Returns ~ FFXIII and Shantotto as part of FFXI's eleventh anniversary.)

Really, I like fanservice as much as the next fan, but really, this isn't Dissidia Online. I'd rather SE create original concepts for this game rather than just dump characters from earlier titles in for no reason other than to appeal to fans.

As far as I was aware the actual location for the Gold Saucer has not been decided upon (no one even knows what it will even look like, or even if it will be called that - Yoshi-P and the rest of the team haven't said anything on the subject lately). Players have assumed it will be Ul'dah simply because of Ul'dah's lore as being a centre of gambling - the PGL Guild has always had a gambling hall out the front as the lore of the class is that they're hired thugs who collect on gamblers unpaid debts (this is the Platinum Mirage - it was even in 1.0 in the same place).

So I seriously doubt that will be the Gold Saucer for that reason alone.

So if they ever make the long fabled remake of FF7, then there is a reason to have cross overs from that game.
