Linkshell first made an appearance in FFXI which everyone who is anyone knows is the paragon of final fantasy. FFXI invented the final fantasy genre so we must not deviate from it too much. a little originality is good but too much originality, under the guise of innovation, makes a game too unique and no longer a final fantasy. eventually it just becomes a WoW clone.
Weren't you one of the people upset because of the possibility of player companies not being in the game?We cant have player companies because they will ruin the final fantasy ness of final fantasy game.
remember, Final Fantasy XI didnt have a player company.
In FFXI we just run around and kill mobs in abyssea for loots.
Sorry, but putting the company in the FF game just not make much sense.
That some poor, sorry excuse, unimaginative sarcasim i seen from ya. in ffxi we did end game then abyssea Linkshells. And there was motre to abyssea then most ppl realise it did have a story to it. Player companies pretty much will fill in as the end game event LS's. Like how ffxi had Sea LS's sky Ls's, hnmls's. They plan on making it easier to do end game when it gets added. Having more control over stuff then LS's have, or did have in ffxi.We cant have player companies because they will ruin the final fantasy ness of final fantasy game.

ffxiv is first and formost an mmo not a typical ff single player. Also may as well claim the Linkshell system isn't ff esk.
you might remember that but you are forgetting that FFXI didnt have a player company system so therefore it is fundamentally flawed and will ruin the final fantasy feel of the game
You really need to work on your sarcasim you sound more like a bratty child then anything. I have to ask, who pee'ed in your footloops today? was it the boobieman from under your bed?Linkshell first made an appearance in FFXI which everyone who is anyone knows is the paragon of final fantasy. I also said non ff mmo. Gues you can't read well either.
What does a final fantasy game feel like? honestly..... Fluffy? fuzzy? smooth? rough? bummy? sharp? tacki? gummie? wet? dry?
Also ffxi would have been better off with a guild system on top of the LS system. Using social chat rooms for events was a pain in the butt. And too many times people carried mutiple event shalls just to skrew them over. I had 2 germans in my event shell who ended up being in several event Ls's and kept giving away our event times. Or our plans for hnm just to make sure they got their Items. And guilds have been in mmorpg well before WoW. Infact they been in rpg since before mmo. (see elder scrolls)
I suppose im not having fun then? hmm... I wonder why Im still playing :/, That's Interesting...
Honestly... Longest I played WoW was a year, and only played it With my b/f. I do not play WoW anymore, nor want player companies because of WoW. I like having guilds in mmorpg, because of my fav rpg Elder scrolls. Am I a final fantasy fan? not really. I only like 8 9 10 11 and 14. My fave game by SE is actually chronocross. If you have to ask what a final fantasy feel like you obviously not a real fan and probably play WoW all day so that just goes to show you are trying to ruin the final fantasy immersiveness of the game. if you want WoW and player companies, you shud go play 99% of other mmos out there and stop trying to make this game good.
its a final fantasy game.
its SUPPOSED to be bad.
Again or failed sarcasm is kinda pointless as your more sounding like a bratty child then a witty adult. I've played tons of mmo and mud. Rpg themselves have guilds in them in some form or fashion. Even final fantasy. Guilds are an rpg thing, not a WoW thing.
