    Gil Making Tips Please?

I am so frustrated with having little to no gil pretty much all the time. I typically pick the gil rewards for quests, and I rarely use teleport. I am currently a level 30 Weaver, and a level 34 Summoner.

Honestly most of my money has been sank into trying to make HQ items for the weaver job. I have tried shard selling, but that seems to have taken a major dive over the past week, hardly seems worth it.

I see players claiming to have 500,000 plus, yet I cant imagine how. Please for the love of SE share some of your tips with me. How can I maintain a decent gil bank here that allows me the freedom to level up crafting, create HQ gear for my summoner, and still enjoy the game.

Selling fleece and silks can net you some gil. You do have to battle people for mob spawns which is always rather annoying but it is fair game.

Selling Peacock ore is worth a lot of money, but you have to buy it with tombs of philosophy. So that is an option if you are level 50.

I find the fish and the goldsmiting good for the gil. The goldsmithing took some startup capital but now I'm seeing the results.

Theres plenty of gil to be had, just to put in some work to get it !

    1) Farm your materials so that overhead cost is as low as possible
    2) Craft items several levels below your current level that you can HQ as close to 100% of the time from NQ mats.
HQ from NQ mats is the most crucial thing.

    3) Buy a trash gear set for your dungeon runs to equip when fighting trash mobs. You can switch back to the main gear for bosses.
Spiritbond to make materia and sell on markets.

Since leveling weaver, have you tried doing the leves that require three of an item? Those ones almost always can be done 3 times, and if turn in all HQ items can be a nice bit of gil.

Also weavers can make a nice bit of gil selling HQ crafting and gathering gears on the Market Board.

    Farm philos, sell mats
Spiritbond white items while farming philos

No crafting required to make money in this game...

Best advice I can give is look at the market for things that sell in your server. Check regularly to get an idea of trends because they fluctuate A LOT. Crafters continually need materials so check crafting mats like Regents.

Level the trades that provide those things that sell.

Leve quests and guildhests give gil and level you.

Being a weaver you probably know diremite webs and spun velveteen thread are regular purchases in the auction house by people who don't feel like farming diremite webs. I farm my own but I know plenty of weavers who buy theirs.

Flax which has to be farmed by a reasonably leveled botanist to spin into linen is a regular item, for the same reason, some crafters don't like farming. Linen thread also.

Check the commodities that crafters need because there will always be crafters who do not like farming mats, who will buy your stuff if it is reasonable to the current trends.

There is no simple time free method, everything will require some work on your part so if you are willing to put in that time, watch the markets regularly and persistently, you will find niches.

    Good luck to you.

While it's true that that triple-turn-in leves often ask for three of an item, that's not a good indicator. What you want to look for is the leveplate design. This invariably describes exactly what performing the leve will involve if you know how to read them. You want a Charity guildleve: http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Charity

buy random armors from random vendors and sell them on market.for 3x you bought them from. Some guy on YouTube has a video where he buys velveteen sashes from a vendor in south shroud at camp tranquil for 1100 and sells them on market for 5500.

I just owned this whole thread
