    To be fair, the basis of comparison is FFXI, and let's be realistic, it was boring as hell.

    I'm not overly fond of the emphasis on DoTs (though I still find it more entertaining than THM), and I'd like to see more synergy with the Egi, but I'm sure as hell glad the class is more involving than it was in XI.

    Wrong, the basis of comparison is all the final fantasies with summoner as a playable character. FFXIV is the worst addition to the summoner job as far as summoning goes.

    As far as the usefulness of summons in XI goes... atleast they were the focus of the summoners damage when they got to DD, and they looked better.
