If i was a new player i think it would be fun. The new lower lvl NM's give you a reason to lvl. Guild Leves, quests, Storyline and Job Storylines. For a new player i think theirs a lot do and lvl up for. IF, IF your just starting out that is.

thumbs up for you sir :3
@OP
I've thought about how the (re)launch will go as well. For one, I think we should welcome the new playerbase and accommodate them as much as possible.
I know I'll be ready with a bunch of lowbie gear to hand out/give explanations and advise on the games systems ^^

Meh I say different strokes for different folks, I don't mind if they arent all epic. But I do want both In-game and CG cutscenes in sidequests, class quests, main story, events, and endgame. Does anyone remember the Star Onion Brigade quests form FFXI? Those had In-game cutscenes and were funny and cute. They were a series of quests that started out innocently and pointless enough, but they did get more epic as they advanced, with better rewards and more danger. Now I know the devs are busy with more pressing matters, but eventually I would like the side quests to be more like the SOB quests at least in approach.
@Kilta Never ever ever put Zelda in the same category of fun as Elder Scrolls. The Zelda series is indeed awesome. The Elder Scrolls games are probably the worst rpg games I have ever had the misfortune to play. So this is a bad example of how to do quests....... and for that matter how to design character models. Just some of the most god awful characters in that game.
And this is where you are completely wrong. Many people I've played with in FFXI stated that the only reason they've kept with FFXI so long was because of the connections that they have made in game, many of them having days where they would just sit in Aht Urghan in linkchat. They weren't playing for efficiency, they played for community that brought them together.
When the game started, repairs were constant, the game speed was much worse, the timing of levequests and behests, 15 man parties. SP Leveling was based on actions taken in battle...The list is not only the entire change log of this game.
but also, All the updates and revisions prior to PS3 release.
"Nothing new" my foot.
Lack of good story in missions or quests.
WoW I love the fact I get bashed for my taste in games. I like The elder scrolls. It was an actual rpg. Not somethung under its lable such as Zelda which was a loosely an rpg. And which elder scrolls game are you talking about? I've played Morrowwind and Oblivion and will soon play skyrim. Elder Scrolls can be a pretty hardcore game. The lands are huge, and in some cases it can take earth hours to get from point a to point b. Elder scroll games if played all the way can take mnths. Where as fable etc it takes weeks. I've actually beaten Zelda TP in 2 days. Just because we have different taste in games don't make my point any less valid. And fyi Quests in elder scroll effect the world. I remember in Morrowwind I got bored and massacured everyone in the brothel (house of earthly delights) And apparently an Importent person for a quest was in it, and i had to start over. My longest character in Morrowwind was a year, and this is exploring EVERYTHING and getting level 100. Before going and killing Dagoth Ur.
I find it funny THAT is the only quest people talk about. Sob was actually link to the main story line. "the joker" was Karu baru (sp) linked cardian. Meaning when he "died" from the mental strain trying to control Fenrir Joker deactivated. With the reactivation, he sorta revived. Well his spirit, which is somehow part of fenrir. Which is why players can sommon fenrir.Meh I say different strokes for different folks, I don't mind if they arent all epic. There was actually another quest with mutli cs. It was a sady quests which was about a soldier from the crystal war. Somehow with a magical staff, leapt through time to the present. You had to go all over venadiel with him to find the staff and beat the person who was after him. Then take him back to la thaine cave so he can use the staff and go back to the crystal war.
Some quests didn't need cs Like the sandy quest where you help the lil boy who lost his dad. I do not think a cs was needed either to see him call his kid a milk sop. (dude was a dbag anyway for walking off w/o his kid, just to go to a shop)
