Those were a list of suggestion to move gil around the game some. Sorry but I do not buy the "spending millions" thing Since you spent millions leveling crafts in ffxi... and AH stuff low level at max was 5K.
If you guys do not wanna do it fine by me. Just no reason to bash me for it. Any crafter who uses the excuses of time or money used = your prices really took this gane too seriously and are using real life economic concepts which isn't how vitural ecomonies are.
Threse crafts are classes you level up. Not jobs were you earn salery, you role is to prove the community with gear. Just as it is the gathers role to supple the community with materials as well ass the war and magic classes. Instesad of actually being a community and "working to gether, people went on the self sufficant path and corprate mindset.
Honestly get your head outa the clouds and realise part of the issues are the crafters. We knew from the start this game was gonna rely heavily on crafting. So why did it all go to poo?
So where is the Bank of eozea? The Eorzea IRS? Oh wait they do not exist because it is a game economy which isn't run like a real life one.and you need to realize no crafter is going to make gear for someone they do not know and make no profit. you do not spend millions to level up a craft to make more items in the future to lose more gil. if you think people leveled their crafts to be nice and make free gear you have lost it. people paid their gil that they made in game to level their crafts to make gil in return later.
most crafters to give away gear to friends and ls members, but to be expected is pure ignorange. you come to me for an item and if i can make it i will do it cheaper than the server is, but will not do it for free or a loss. you can act like this is not like a real economy all you want, but it is.
No where in my suggestions did I say at a loss or no profit. And my suggestion were about slowing the influx of gil and moving it around a bit more. Atm i can safely say the way you guys set youselves up. This game doesn't por will not have a economy. People will end up being self sufficant and gather and make their own stuff. No one would by anything. This is a player run economy not a game ran one. It is our issue we gotta fix, and I don;t see anyone here making any suggestions od what we players can do.
I don't know where the Bank of Eorzea is, but Eorzea FICA takes some of my gil all the time in the wards.![]()
you can say the job of the gathering classes is to support crafting all you want, but go take a look at the prices for leveling up crafting that are set by the gathering classes. i know you want to make it seem as though the crafters are all to blame, but you need to look at the prices set by others. Those were a list of suggestion to move gil around the game some. just take a look at leather working or weaver. for a leather worker to rank up in the 30's they will need 10+ stacks of buffalo hides. those hides sell in wards for 10K+ each. for a weaver to rank up they need thousands of cotton bolls and those run for 3k each in the wards.
don't blame the crafters for passing on the costs set by the gathering and battle classes in the rates that are charged in the wards. if you want to blame anyone you should start by blaming those classes for charging the crafters so much in the first place then expecting cheap goods. i give out alot of stuff in this game from gear to mats to gil so do not assume because i do not do it for people i do not know that i will not help out friends or ls members.
if you want to go the route of what role each plays then the role of the battle classes and gathering classes is to provide the crafting classes the materials at a decent price. if you want cheap goods you cannot charge high prices for the leveling materials.
tell that to the game when every time i sell something that i am taxed on my goods that i made and sold.

No idea what that even means. If you're trying to infer that I'm seeing something that isn't there, sorry, I'm not. Plenty going on here.
If you hate this and that and can do nothing but complain and hope they overhaul the game completely, why are you still playing? I will never understand people... ever consider that maybe, just maybe, you don't like the game and should play something else?
@ dark crafters are not basing prices due to mat pricing. But based on time spent leveling. If a person say gives the crafter all materials for 4-5 tries on making a tool or weapon, where is the fee coming from? You using materials from someone else. But crafter still wants to make a profit and uses the "i spent millions of gil , and months leveling this craft" excuse. Which was funny that no one used that in ffxi, yet never asked for a gil if given the mats and crystal. So like I asked what changed?
I'm asking considering crafting in ffxi too more money and took longer to do. And if crafters didn't want to spend tons of money buying mats they coulda easily hunted there own.
Honestly I found a level 16 item that cost 80K last night. It wasn't anything special.... I've seen in ffxi mats costing 100gil-5K gil for a stack or even singles. Going as high as 10K. Yet no real crafted item in ffxi for low levels was over 30K. Even the basic elemental staves were only 100K ish but those were in demand.
It is crazy easy to make money in this game. Don't know what the deal is. Seriously if you don' craft for yourself you are missing out on half the game. I've never had a problem making gear and buying pieces I can't make. Maybe I'm on a server with a decent pop, I dunno. Never been an issue.
People comparing prices to FFXI haven't played lately. Inflation has gone through the roof and prices are ridiculous. At least on my server. 80k for a lvl 16 item in ffxiv isn't a lot considering you can make that in a day or so at that level, and its kind of pointless anyway since you'll be lvl 25 inside of a week. Don't invest too much in your character at a low level. People charge those prices because the money is there and other buy it. Stop buying, wait till your level pace slows down.
And as for mats, 90% of them can be gathered yourself and there's no reason to buy them. Not to mention local leve rewards.

I think I must have given away upwards of 35 mil in gear just because it's so meaningless.
