Client asking for serial key.

Hello,

I am not sure if I am posting this in the correct place and if I have then I apologise.

As the title states I have downloaded the client and it is asking for a registration key. I own ff14 1.0 and it is registered to my account. I am however unable to find the box which contains the code. I am assuming this is the code I enter as I obviously did not buy ARR as I was under the assumption that if I have the first one then there was no need to buy ARR.

I really would like to subscribe but I do not want to subscribe then realise I need to pay for the game all over again.

Is there any way to get around this as I would have thought that it would realise that I have the game registered to my account.

If I have any of the above incorrect please correct me as I am still a little unsure about the whole thing.

Have you actually paid for a monthly subscription yet? 1.0 players only got 15 days free from the start of 2.0 (and then an additional 7 days added later) and our free time ran out nearly two weeks ago. If you don't currently have an active subscription you won't be able to play.

When you load the game for the first time you should be able to say "I already have an account" and just point it to your existing SE account details with the 1.0 account on it. As long as that account has a valid subscription you'll be able to play. If it doesn't have a valid subscription, I guess that's why you're getting asked for the code.

I will now subscribe. I was aware that I was not subbed but was not aware that I could not even patch the client/game.
