Who wants to play FFXI?

I started a fresh XI character about a month and a half ago. New EXP rates are real nice for returning players. Got my COR60 with SJs leveled boiiii. Surprising amount of new players too (Some of which came from XIV lol).

Yeah...I can change 100x more graphical options in XIV than I can in XI.

There were 4100 people on my merged server last night. This is why people dislike these communities, always making things out worse than they are.

slightly more isnt 100X, AO is still so hardware hungry that you need 2-3 580 gtx sli for it to work acceptable smooth.

a lot of people in ffxi are dualboxing, almost everyone i knew was logged in with 2 characters, some had more even.
counting the many people who bazaar and don't play makes the 4100 a bit ... well...

On the other hand. the 4100 might have been your "merged" server. Not all servers were like that.
I've seen numbers on my "merged" server far below the 1000 constantly. Just because you have 4100 on your server doenst mean all servers are that way.

And i don't make things worse then they are. Its just a fact and the options in ffxiv are not really affecting performance until you use the "gerneral drawing quality" which ont he other hand makes things look very bad.
Other games have far more options that help with performance and still maintain a good all-over quality.

The options we currently have have NOTHING to do with an HD-next generation game.
They are far worse then most 10 year old games. Thats also a fact sorry. And a community that blindly defends everything doesnt help anyone. That's what i dislike.

I loved ffxi and played it since 2003 (or 2004 dont remember tbh). But still i don't defend every crap SE does and nobody should.

Abyssea completely ruin FFXI, I went back thinking it would be nice... but no, the game is now ruined, and going back would be pointless.

No I do not want to go back to ffxi. Quit that game for a reason. could not lv my newbie jobs in a reglar xp pt. Did not want to leech in abyssea. Also did not want to brd/rdm forever.

I went back to FF XI recently with a new character, it didn't last long. I really wanted to play but there is nobody around and getting a party is extremely difficult. I'd love for them to do something to bring in some new players, like make it free to play. FF XI is one of the most exspensive MMO's they should at least lower the monthly fee.

Just got back to XI after all the disappointment because XIV made me miss better quests with plot, cutscenes and rewards. I'm also doing some of the missions I haven't yet done and the story keeps me hooked.

I hope XIV can someday offer something of equal quality in quests missions and story. I have no idea what was going on in the main storyline of XIV. They completely omitted to think about the fact that players progress in missions very very rarely and wrote it to be a mess.

I actually own it, but I haven't played it. Bought it at the same time I bought this one. I have too many games on my plate right now.
