World transfer service.

When are we going to see the world transfer service? Mog station says mid-September but, correct me if I'm wrong, it's after mid-September.

If the plan has changed, maybe you could have someone spend five minutes to let us know what the new plan is.

was announced at Tokyo Gameshow on the 20th (or was it 21st?... forget) that it's expected in Early October now. If you go into the Topics Section on the Lodestone, there is a link for getting to the stream for the TGS to view it. It's in JP, but about 6:25 into the stream, a graphic comes up. It has the important details translated into English text.

They talked about a lot of stuff (about a 40 minute session). Hopefully we will get an official translation soon.

The Link about the presentation was in the Lodestone for over a week prior to the convention, and was up for a few days after as well, with the link pointing to the archived stream instead of the live one for a few days after the presentation. It only scrolled out of the news section because they started posting Fan Kit stuff that bumped it out of the frame. If you click the Topics button, it is right there for everyone to see.

It's not in some obscure place locked in a file cabinet in the basement. It's all right there where people would be going to find the information.

Not to mention, it has been posted in any of a dozen or so new threads that crop up almost every other day because no one takes the time to use the search feature on the forums. Just searching generically on the three words "World Transfer Service" gave me 116 hits--the third hit is to a fan translation of the presentation where they announced it was expected in early October.

No arduous investigation tactics, no bazaar phrases needed to search on--all I did was type the words "World Transfer Service" in the forum's Search box in the upper right-hand corner, press the <Enter> key and actually looked at the results on my screen.

wow... just.. wow.

I'm guessing you are new to the genre (or at least the JP side of it, or more specifically SE), so I will try to cut you some slack in that area. This is simply how SE often disseminates information. It's a decade long pattern. Sorry if you aren't familiar with the whole Live Letter, Letters from the Producer, and other various Dev Forum events they frequently use---but I assure you, it is common practice, and most of the regular players know right where to go to find this stuff. A small handful of fans routinely take time from their crazy schedules to capture them and translate them for the fans because it often takes a long time for it to go through the official SE channels, but it sometimes still takes a couple days to get it up because of the time shift and various scheduling conflicts.

That's what the search function is for--finding these nuggets of information on the forums. Even my 15 yr. old daughter knew how to use this common tool in the first grade. Just saying... it really isn't that hard to use, and your initial post in the thread was a clear misrepresentation of what one must go through to find information on the forums.

Which brings me to the point/tone of your reply. No, I wasn't trying to make you look like a jerk. I apologize if you took it that way, but that was not the intent. I provided the requested information and also told the OP where it was published, just in case he/she wanted to view the stream because there was a lot discussed there. Your reply to that post was simply grossly misrepresenting the situation. I presented more details about what the situation actually was, as well as detailed how simple it was to find the information via other commonly used methods. Granted, I did vent a bit of frustration about the lack of users that take advantage of the forum's tools to help them find information, but that was blowing off steam about the state of the users in general, and was not pointed directly at you. There is a reason that portion is in a separate paragraph, and not lumped in with comments directly addressing you.

As for that comment about putting in "bazaar" in place of "bizarre" because I miscued the auto-correct replacement word with my laptop's touchpad... can't cut you any slack on that level of douchebaggery. Am I to assume that you've never misspelled a word in your life, or have otherwise never fallen prey to the horrors and hilarities of auto-correct? If this kind of childish posting is indicative of your conduct both in game and in forums, than perhaps it is best that you do in fact leave the game shortly after realizing that things are not simply going to be handed to you because you asked--things could get REALLY ugly once you get much further in the game.

I sincerely hope you learn to deal better with such knee jerk reactions to adversity in your future, and wish you well in your adventures elsewhere.
