I'm almost at the point where i have to actually quit the game just because of this issue which to me is a really silly reason for anyone to stop playing a game they actually enjoy
It really is a silly reason, so don't quit. Do some crafting or gathering. Easy money.

You can even do this on a level 1 gatherer, just collect shards, which you can find just outside the cities, and sell those.
