You realize he's not complaining about not being rich, but about not being able to afford repairng his gear without resorting to mindless grinding of either:

1. Enter button mashing a tree.
2. 1 button mashing on crafting.
or 3. Killing low lvl mob that is being farmed by 3 more bots and 2 more legitimate players.

All for only to be able to repair his gear, again, not be rich, but to repair the gear.

well if you still have quest do them and choose the Pieces as an award instead of the gear, I did this for most of my quest 1-50 and I ended up with over 300k

little tip if you can't pay your repair: equip vanilla gear for your leaves you dont need to be in darklight for something as easy,
for someone with low playtime and who don't want to lvl other class you have more than enough leaves to pay for your repairs, might get some gears from reward and coffer you can use in your next leaves and materialise.
+crap you drop during leaves that can be sold.

The op is just lazy really
On the server i am on 125 tombstones sell for 30>45K
This means if u do 5 runs cm or pre you can get 4 items.
1 run takes about 30 min with a descend group or faster if u got a relic group.
so in 3 hours (30 min looking for a pre-made group) u can make between 120K>180K gil.
And you never have to do something which is gathering or crafting.

Now could there be some tweaks to the gil making sure.
But to be honest i like it that gil just does not drop out of the air and evry idiot is swimming in it.

Okay, if you don't want to do gathering/crafting, do battle levequests, guildhests, and FATEs. Don't use your best gear, but stuff that's cheaper to repair; use trash gear. Especially when zerging FATEs, your gear doesn't really matter. It's slow, but you should make some good gil this way if you really don't want to do any of the gather/tradecrafts.

Sighs... Its soo easy to get a gathering job, farm and sell. But if you dont want to... then do levequest and guildhest. I start doing those recently and got the 10,000 gil mark achievement easy. Besides you dont really need much money. Dungeons give you green/pink gears which are quite good to level new classes.

When you ran yourself broke before setting up a way to earn gil, you pretty much backed yourself into a corner. You now have two ways to make gil: gathering or battlecraft leves. There's not a lot of other choices if you're broke.

All the advice given are basically take the money from someone else and be done with it. The economy is fucked up but you cannot even see it.

Run battle leves in mor dhona and sell the rewards. You could also run dungeons with decent crafted gear and spirit bond it for materia.

There are options, you just have to look for them.
