so run out of gil...now what?

Im struggling to play the game now because i cant seem to make gil, i started a profession but now ive run out of gil to level it, i only have a few hours a day to play ( more on weekends) but i just cant seem to make gil, when i do dungeons etc i seem to lose more then i make

I'm almost at the point where i have to actually quit the game just because of this issue which to me is a really silly reason for anyone to stop playing a game they actually enjoy

Im trying to farm gear for the the upcomming raid yet im down to 18k gil and repairs are killing me... what can i do !!!! no idea how im going to pay repairs for when the raid actually does come as im sure there is goign to be many wipes !

Well, Hamsteak has a good idea, but somehow I don't see you doing that since you have 0 gil at the moment.

i suppose you can sell crafting mats from philosophy tomes via Castrum Meridianum. ive seen some people trying to buy some for 30kish a piece

You don't get something for nothing in this game. If you want gil, you need to put a little effort in. Gathering classes like Mining and Botany are good ways to get vital materials that crafters need. Selling those will earn you gil, and mastering those classes will put you in a very strong financial position since you can obtain rare lucrative items which few others have access to.

Or you could spam FATE's and save the modest about of gil from them to make your fortunes.

You picked the wrong game type. MMO is about being part of a world and while your class of choice may be all about the stabbing and killing you are still part of the economy and therefore you need to take up a way to crate gill for yourself.
Gathering might be an easy option for you. Pick up stuff and then sell it on the AH.
Mining, Botany, are good for gathering.

Don't expect SE to just let you play without doing something like that.

In FFXI i would farm or gather for gil.

ye i did fates 1-50 on my second 50 and i didnt maske any gil from it every time i repair id end up back where i started.

Thanks guys i guess the only way is to craft/gather and since im not willing to do that i might aswell play something else , cheers anyway
