so run out of gil...now what?

i really just need some advice on how to make gil , without gathering and other lame stuff that takes you away from playing the class you chosen

You don't get something for nothing in this game. If you want gil, you need to put a little effort in. Gathering classes like Mining and Botany are good ways to get vital materials that crafters need. Selling those will earn you gil, and mastering those classes will put you in a very strong financial position since you can obtain rare lucrative items which few others have access to.

Or you could spam FATE's and save the modest about of gil from them to make your fortunes.

ye i did fates 1-50 on my second 50 and i didnt maske any gil from it every time i repair id end up back where i started.

Thanks guys i guess the only way is to craft/gather and since im not willing to do that i might aswell play something else , cheers anyway

Okay, if you don't want to do gathering/crafting, do battle levequests, guildhests, and FATEs. Don't use your best gear, but stuff that's cheaper to repair; use trash gear. Especially when zerging FATEs, your gear doesn't really matter. It's slow, but you should make some good gil this way if you really don't want to do any of the gather/tradecrafts.

Run battle leves in mor dhona and sell the rewards. You could also run dungeons with decent crafted gear and spirit bond it for materia.

There are options, you just have to look for them.
