Ehm, in these games my hard work is actually rewarded whereas hard work at most jobs I've had resulted in people feeling threatened, trying to get me fired, usually succeeding?
(Keep in mind I agree with you, here. ;P)
It really is a silly reason, so don't quit. Do some crafting or gathering. Easy money.I'm almost at the point where i have to actually quit the game just because of this issue which to me is a really silly reason for anyone to stop playing a game they actually enjoy![]()
You can even do this on a level 1 gatherer, just collect shards, which you can find just outside the cities, and sell those.
This isn't wow, the point of this game isn't to level you're one class and one sub class. The point is to level ALL THE CLASSES!
That said, best money making being a tank and armorsmith. Build gear, do insta dungeons ques to soulbind them. Meld to materia hoping for battledance 3. Sell battledance 3 for 50 to 60k a piece.

Getting tired of this game so I will tell you the fastest way to make gil and depending on how much you want to make is up to you. You have a level 50 LNC hope DRG but you should be burning Castrum for 100 Phil. Tomes per run then you check you market board and see which item sell for the most Peacock Ore, Potash, Animal Fat, Coke or w/e they cost 125 phil tomes each and can sell for up to 100k each you can make 1mil a day easy.

Even low level crafting leves (15-20ish) can yield you a good 10-20k gil a day if you know what you're doing.
I'm going to give a tip for those people who absolutely REFUSE to play anything but a DoW/DoM.
Bear in mind this was repeated in the thread over a dozen times but some people have 0 reading comprehension.
1. Go run CM/Praetorium/AK
2. Gather 125 Tomestones
3. Go buy Coke/Potash
4. Put it on a Marketboard
Oh wow! Money! Yippee!

Stop farming gear, start farming mats to sell it in the AH, like pudding flesh
If you have a DoM/DoW class, but have no incoming (you don't need DoL or DoH class for an incoming even if they have the highest incoming), then you do it wrong. The OP has a point, to a degree, and even if he may not be exploiting all of his avenues to get gil.
Someone who simply doesn't like crafting or gathering, and wants to focus on activities as a DoW/DoM, should be able to do so and not go completely broke. In other words, they should be able to make enough gil to cover repairs and basic consumables and have a small bit left over.
Look what the enemies you kill drop, look what you can sell with a good price in the AH and start to kill a lot of these enemies (also calling farming).
It is the OP problem if he refuce to play the AH game with his DoW/DoM class.

Leves, gathering, spiritbond, even some crafting. Get ur FC to use reduced rates or proper care action.
And stop wiping constantly so you don't have to repair as often.
