I have played a lot of MMOS and this one is worse in terms of gil generation especially if you are playing a combat class. Awful really. God knows how many people are going to quit at 50 who have no interest in gathering and crafting.

Where is the balance?

i will be one of those people, i like thi sgame but im not bothered if i play it or not, im not looking to do anything i dont enjoy, its a game not work

And why is this a bad thing again?

Less crying on the forums. You'll know people online will at least like the game enough since they are paying for it.
Less people buying gil which will cause a drop in GMT spam and teleporting bots.

At level 32 - 34 i was getting a solid 320 Gil per Brayflox run as i went full DF, would often pick up an extra 400 via Allagan Currencies. so thats about 700 gil per 30 minute dungeon run, not to mention all the Aetherial loot i get to Spiritbond and sell cheap on the MBs for crafters to socket their gear with as they level a DoW and can Meld for themselves.

Allagan currencies and first time bonuses are in every dungeon Ive run so far, Primals, CM and TP being the exception with Allagan Currencies.

Oh but wait .. you're probably a speed runner who wont go near the trash thats guarding all that Gil ... Hrmmm.
Did you never consider running your non raid dungeons in 47 - 49 loot instead of your full Darklight/ilvl70 and copping maaaaybe 200 gil on a bad repair?

This topic is a trap. Game is not design around OP so it fail I guess.

You realize he's not complaining about not being rich, but about not being able to afford repairng his gear without resorting to mindless grinding of either:

1. Enter button mashing a tree.
2. 1 button mashing on crafting.
or 3. Killing low lvl mob that is being farmed by 3 more bots and 2 more legitimate players.

All for only to be able to repair his gear, again, not be rich, but to repair the gear.

little tip if you can't pay your repair: equip vanilla gear for your leaves you dont need to be in darklight for something as easy,
for someone with low playtime and who don't want to lvl other class you have more than enough leaves to pay for your repairs, might get some gears from reward and coffer you can use in your next leaves and materialise.
+crap you drop during leaves that can be sold.
