You can be a ditch digger, but you're going to have to get a desk job if you want to make money.

You have leves, you can soulbind materia and sell it, but if you want to make real money, you're going to have to pick up a pickaxe and hammer. You can always go back to scholar at any time.

This doesn't make sense. If you choose a crafting/gathering class, that's the class you've chosen. You can always switch back to something else. That's the advantage of this game. You can be any class you want at virtually any time.

SE will reduce repair costs they just waiting for legacy to lose their monies lol

Both have already happened. Legacy characters get a whole 0 cut out and repair costs have never been lower.

and that's why economic system in this game is flawed. Game that doesn't reward people for doing what they like is doomed to fail. It's a GAME not work.

This is an interesting view. And its not really compatible with how FFXIV operates. The ability to insta-switch between classes is there for a reason. Its beneficial for you and others to have multiple classes leveled.

The view that "I"m ONE job ONLY" seems to stem from other MMOs that don't have this pretty neat feature. The game really is more fun if you're trying other classes and using that feature in the game. Don't limit yourself to one class just because that's what other MMO's have trained you to do.

OP should stop replying to people and quit already. By the time you level up a job to 50, you should already have 100k+.

It's not hard to farm crafting materials for people even as a DoW. You don't like tedious stuff then stop playing MMOs.

If you don't want to contribute to the community then you should stop playing MMOs.

Stop replying to people trying to help you with "no I'm not going to do that because it's not why I play this game", then stop playing MMOs.

In this game, gil is not needed at all unless you want to level up crafts. The amount of gil you get each day is enough to sustain your DoW. It seems you have other motives to want to have a lot gil coming free to you everyday. You said it yourself that you were only getting enough gil to sustain what you were doing.

well if you still have quest do them and choose the Pieces as an award instead of the gear, I did this for most of my quest 1-50 and I ended up with over 300k

When you ran yourself broke before setting up a way to earn gil, you pretty much backed yourself into a corner. You now have two ways to make gil: gathering or battlecraft leves. There's not a lot of other choices if you're broke.
