Multi-box Farming / Macroing

I came across this set of people while I was leveling one of my lower classes. Level 50's, in Quarrymill. Just AOEing what seemed like almost nothing. For a long period of time. Not sure what the point of it was, but what I can collect it looked like a set script looping to attack mobs over and over, with the 5th person being an AOE heal. Is this considered legal? I'm not sure if it even is a "bot" , but does seem questionable.


Please clarify.

Highly likely it's a bot and no it's not legal. Use of a manual or digital switch is legal (as it still requires a person activating the commands or in-game macros) but using a third party program like that with recorded key clicks isn't. Being as the intervals on those characters is precise I can say with certainty it's third party.

Correct. I'm not sure if it actually is a bot, but more of an automation script taking advantage of abilities to multi-box. I could just be speculating, but really... what are a bunch of level 50's doing farming a questing zone spot near town with endless popping mobs? I'm going to check to see if he's still there.
