Need Advice...

So I have been having the worst luck with the final boss of AV. I must have tried four different groups on him and not once could we get past the adds spawn.

I don't like to overestimate my skills as a tank, but I know my class and I know the fight. In every group I have had mostly single target classes for my DPS. Monks, Dragoons (tons of them actually), Summoner. The best bet I have had is for the summoner to pop LB to take out the pods.

There is a lot I have on my plate in this fight. Avoiding the death pools, keeping the DOT no greater than three stacks, eating fruit to save me from said DOT's, Avoiding "Bad Breath" which seems to hit me even when I am well out of the range. And tank the boss on top of it all.

I can handle that part. But the Adds screw me every time. I have had people tell me to DPS the pods but even switching to Sword Oath and popping Fight or Flight is at best, only able to get one pod. That's hoping I do not have the "Bad Breath" stacks on me.

Any advice?

My gear is fine, my weapon is as high as it can go for one more level. What is my best bet? I refuse to stop trying until I kill that boss.

I have never wished I could be a Warrior for a single fight, until now. I have ZERO AOE attacks. Considering Flash as a taunt and not a damaging attack.

It's up to the DPS to AoE those pods down quickly as possible. If they can't do that, then you're probably not going to make it.
