Didnt they Mention something about "Grand Companies" too with the Dreamer's Quests and what not?The egg event has to do with 12 archons which sound to be something like the 12 gods/guardians, and the shady figures appearing in the "Storm Over Gridania" event are arcanists, a class that SE hasn't added to the game. The words are similar in spelling, but aren't the same thing.
All we know right now is that the egg event and the Storm Over Gridania may be related. But we've been given no proof that they are. They don't seem to be linked as of right now. If SE puts up some lore saying that Jihli's archons are the ones making it rain all the time and such, then we will have a connection.
it's obvious to me that the Storm Over Gridania event is going to lead to something. SE didn't just add it for no reason, for it not to have an ending. But as of right now Hatching-tide has no clear connection to it.

I don't recall Jihli's quests saying anything about the Grand Companies.
Here's what I think is going on.
Hatching-tide event is it's own event. Just a thing for easter. There may or may not be something happening with the archons arriving like Jihli predicts.
Storm Over Gridania is a different event. Which will lead to something huge. Perhaps a threat that will bring the introduction of The Grand Companies to defend against it. There is also speculation on whether or not this threat will lead to remakes of maps - especially The Black Shroud.
Those are just what I'm being lead to believe from what we've been given in lore and events in game. Could be totally off.
Just, right now I don't see any proof that these two events are linked. I'm not saying they aren't. Some people are assuming they are with no proof though - jumping to conclusions.
Whatever happens, it's all very exciting. I hope to find out soon if these events are linked, and if not, what will happen in each of them.

All I know is something going down one way or another, Which gets me excited nevertheless =). Yes they are two different events That I believe either are linked together, or have its own separate lore, Yes right now I don't see a connection, Just pure Speculation. Time will tell when and If, they give us another Writing from the Gridania Writer, or if NPC's start saying different things, which I highly doubt sense thats a Lore all on its own and being taken up by that particular event.I don't recall Jihli's quests saying anything about the Grand Companies.

Would be exciting to see if it was actually Jihli's archons making it rain and bringing doom. :x lol Guess we have to wait and see. (I kind of hope the Storm Over Gridania event has to do with the Garleans somehow. :3)All I know is something going down one way or another, Which gets me excited nevertheless =). I really hope we get another article from that writer soon.
I hope you don't feel that I was arguing with you Starlord. I re-read my posts and saw how it might sound like that, but I meant no harm.
If the events are not connected, then I really don't have any guesses for what will happen with Hatching-tide IF anything else was supposed to happen - with Jihli's archons or whatever.
I have many more ideas for what Storm Over Gridania could bring. Garleans, Beastmen, map remakes, some new foe/threat? Grand Companies, new areas??
Anyways, I'm psyched and it's nice to see other people enjoying the events so much. ^.^v

well so much for that. Same ol' routine for now...
Somewhat disappoint that Gridania isn't a smoldering ruin right now, but I greatly enjoyed the event nonetheless. It would be really nice if the Arcanist GM still popped up here and there (with a new message, perhaps?) to keep this mystery alive.

NPC's saying crazy stuff, the Weather going nuts, Deaspected crystals dropping and no BGM in Thanalan so far as I know of are going on still
oh, awesome. I've got lots of theories about those deaspected crystals, and to be honest I'm kinda happy they werent squandered lore wise on just an easter event.

Yes. now thats confirmed everyone can stop saying oh its probably with the Easter egg hunt Event -.- lmao.
But I think all this is related to " The Storm Over Gridania" Event If you read what it says on the lodestone you see everything thats on there is in the game as we speak

Whatever it is they're planning, I hope it's good and that it comes soon.
