    Why don't lowbie dungeons award Philosophy to synced level 50s?

    I had this chat with members of my FC today and it’s a pretty simple common thing:

    Why don’t lowbie dungeons award Philosophy to level 50’s running them? For what insane reason would you NOT add this?

    Hear me out
    • We get synced
    • It still takes 30-60mins to run them (Just did Breyflox on a Turn 4 cleared Paladin)

    This would promote high level people to run lower dungeons of course there would be some rules I guess like you don’t get award philosophy with a full premade group. But if someone in my FC wanted help clearing something and I on my level 50 maxed Paladin decide “Hey sure I’m going to get a few phils from it why not”

    Not it’s like “Err 50mins of my time for nothing in return, I’ll pass thanks but ill keep banging my head on the walls of AK for 50 runs”

    Thoughts?

    To add a little more I'm not talking give 80 like AK. I'm saying why not give between 10-60 or even 10-80 DEPENDING on how long it takes. Of course as I said this would only work if you are queuing as a Solo/Duo/Trio as you are then helping out a random person.

    It rattles me how things like this weren't thought BEFORE release, surely you must of seen everyone and there grand mother running AK over and over forcing horrible eye gouging moments. It would be a nice fresh change to say today ill run a few lowbie dungeons I haven't seen in awhile at least the 40/50 Minutes of my time isn't wasted.

    Someone argued that "There is a story behind the Tomestones. There is no reason why they should be in Halatali. And there is way less reason why a lvl 20 shouldnt get them in halatali while a lvl 50 in the same halatali aat the same time should get them".

    Counter-point: "You can easily omit the story part with something like : at lvl 50 u recive an item which allows you to recive philo from low lvl dungoens thats all backstory needed isnt it?"

    So yea, what gives YoshiD?

    How about you just run it to be nice with other people in your FC and help them progress so maybe later on they'll come back and help you with crafting/other stuffs? It pays to be nice instead of having an incentive to be nice everytime.

    I actually like this idea, anything that makes it worth while.
    I've been helping my FC mates more often now in dungeons and I would love to get anywhere from 5 - 15 phylo tomes per boss.
    I would say make it drop boss completion.

    I Just did this for Breyflox, that's when the idea hit me. Of course you can help people and they always will but why would it hurt for there to be a nice reward for level 50s re-running lower levels? Why do I have to help someone? What if I want to relive those lowbie dungeons and take a break from AK? Why can I not also get phils this way?

    We are SYNCED it's not like we can speed through it.

    You totally missed the point and went right for the "SHAD UP AND HELP PEOPLE" I do nothing but help people in my FC. However I also enjoy this game and would like to look at a different shade of colour than AMDAPOR KEEP.

    Ok, I guess I got the wrong tone from your post. It would be a nice incentive to run different dungeons just for the sake of nostalgia and it would certainly ease up the AK waiting time a bit.

    I was thinking that once you have a class to 50 all of your classes should get 5 tomestones per boss in any dungeon.

    It's not enough that most players would clear trash just to farm the first boss in a low level dungeon for 5 tomes every 15-20 minutes. And the system doesn't let you go in as a higher level to make it super easy. It would be enough to feel like you're accomplishing something on your already high level character as a whole.

    Considering the game wants you to do everything on one character and when players are bored all the replies are "level an another class". Yeah that's great and all, but then you can Fate farm the alt to 50 and rerun the same handful of dungeons you already ran 70 times with another class.


    Just a thought to keep the low level game more active. You have to consider after the launch rush moves through even more new players are going to have a hell of a time progressing their story quests with all the required dungeons and all the veteran players leveling alt classes with Fates

    I agree, doing AK over and over again gets really stale after a while, especially when you don't need anything from it. I'm not sure about requiring the player to be level 50, but at least having one class at level 50.

    I would enjoy that. More people would get to see more content with experienced players, god willing, who are patient enough to describe the boss encounter. Can acquire equipment for the classes you are interested in playing and contribute to the community, making it stronger at the same time.

    I mean people are complaining about dungeons not giving much exp too, but with the queues filled with players who can help each other out the chances that you will acquire the bonus for the swift completion of first time objectives will increase.

    I mean obviously that will come to an end eventually, but for now it would have been a useful implementation.

    This is a great idea and as a small addition to it I think they should also include the lower-leveled Primal Fights and also possibly Guildhests. This would be mutually beneficial to both the low-leveled players who would be able to find Primal Parties more easily and to the Level 50's who would have an alternate source of Tomes. As the guy above said, this also strengthens the community if players are nice about it
