    How many internal testers got a craft to 50 pre-release

    How many of SEs internal testers do you think actually hit 50 on a craft pre retail release? What did their crafting sessions look like? Was it all about spamming 1 button like it pretty much is now? Crafting is so boring and lame was this done on purpose or did the internal testers truely believe crafting was fun. What do you think?

    I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

    So, I take it you would recommend a Rube Goldberg machine to make it more fun? A contest on how many steps can you implement to hit "Standard."

    Its fun at first, when you do it you think "nice its something not just hit go and some magic happens and boof!", it provides more functionality and control. But at the end of the day, most people still would prefer a coffee machine to do all the work rather than doing it yourself.

    When you're dishing out 500 synths, the menu is useless as you're most likely over levelled and hitting standard 5 times will do the trick so it just becomes annoyingly tedious and completely useless.

    There should be an option between the 2, maybe if you want to do batch synths you go to a guild and do it there and it does 1 by 1 by 1 etc like some typical mmos (aion/tera/wow, etc).

    I think people will complain with it, or without, but add in additional ways makes everyone happy.

    Oh and i doubt any tester got 50, infact they probably didnt level just did some /command and was x level with x amount of items to just test, if they hit standard n it worked, tick a box, hit rapid and it worked, tick a box, and so on, once done bam thats crafting working! Internal testers dont test fun!

    in alpha crafting was different, you couldnt use standard as much, of course we ended up spamming rapid. Also gains were random, but much higher, you could get 1.2k off a synth in leves i think i saw 1800. but of course you could get nothing...... sooooo.

    They should make a systems that if you just want to do a NQ, go ahead and press this button and it will do it by it self... >_< only if you're thinking of HQing it only do manual labor.. >

    yall should really use hasty hands more often. less exp, less work. more exp over time probably.

    also, i think a lot of the leveling to 50 woes, are mostly because no recipe is over 50, so you get less and less exp, while your tnl gets higher an higher. personally id just hit 40 an call it a day, maybe 44 to make crafting level 50 crap easier. Let leves do the rest of the work

    I stopped at 21, I like the way you craft it's different from other mmo's and does give you a sense of acheivement, what I dont like is the grind. Once you get past 20 it seems like the xp curve goes vertical but the gains you get for each leve is minimal. I also dont like the mat system (I know it changed from when I last did crafting (Feb 2011) so apologies if it is now easier) why do some reciepe's have 5 required mats, 4 of which are all lvl 20 and the 5th being lvl 35 and that mat is normally a different craft to what the item you are trying to create is. It would be nice if you actually got a fair bit in xp when crafting, like maybe change the system slightly so you get a small xp gain for every succesful standard/rapid/bold attempt. Something like 20xp standard, 25xp rapid and 30xp bold then when the item is completed you get the normal xp gain + the xp you got for succesfull hits.
