exp question

I have a higher ranked lancer than a gladiator. On my gladiator I get more physical exp than on my lancer. Is this how it works? If you have lower ranked class you get more physical exp?

Exp gained is directly based on the amount of skill points you gain when killing a monster.
How much SP you get from a kill depends on the rank difference for the most part, and i believe up till rank 24 orso theres also a bonus involved.

If your gladiator is earning more SP then yes, you will get more physical exp.

also it varys depending on the monster type im not 100% on that tho it could just be me but it seems i get more exp from killing a monkey instead of a squirrel in grids area case
