    My Struggle... (Error 90000; 2002; 10102)

    Hey, whats up guys! I just recently bought this game for digital download from Amazon. I'm not entirely surprised, but I'm already having issues with playing the game in the first place. I've already done my best to research my errors, but to no avail. I seriously can't figure out what the problem is. I've forwarded my ports, tried logging in some one million times, and I've tested my internet connection with various websites to confirm that my internet connection is decent enough to play an MMORPG. Granted, I'm not an expert on these sort of things, so I'm sure it's more than possible I've missed something.

    I'm not necessarily here to ask if there's some sort of grand solution to what I'm experiencing... I'm pretty much just wondering if the error messages I'm getting are common. If so, I can deal with just waiting until SE comes out with a fix so I can actually play. Otherwise, I just want to know so I can try and find a fix from my end.. whether it be upgrading my internet, getting a new modem, etc.

    Anyway, I bought this game yesterday and initially tried logging in for the first time at like 1:00 AM. I was having trouble logging in (Error 2002), but eventually I managed to get in for character creation. Once I was done, I got disconnected again and I decided to just go to sleep.
    Now it's today, and I haven't been able to play at all. I've managed to get to character selection multiple times, but I always get Error 90000 after about 2 minutes or so after logging into my character. I can't even get past the intro scene... I just get disconnected and I have to watch it all over again only to be disconnected by Error 90000.
    I'm really at a loss as to what I should do... I've never had so much trouble with an MMO before.
    If its relevant at all, my ISP is Time Warner. We don't have the best internet, that's for sure, but everywhere I've looked seems to confirm that I definitely have decent enough internet to be able to play an MMO. I don't have any packet loss or anything like that, and my ping is relatively low.

    Oh, and I only mention Error 10102 because I received that once. That one I got at about the same time I would normally get a #90000.

    Anyway, thanks a lot for reading my wall of text and helping out. I appreciate it, and I also hope I posted this in the correct area! Believe me, I wouldn't be posting here if I couldn't find a solution myself.

    There might be a local security issue--common culprit is either blocking the executable, or the IP address of the world server.

    Did you ever get past the lobby (character creation and selection of a saved character) and actully get into the game---as in sitting in a town with other players running around you?

    If not, check your security logs and Windows Event logs to see if anything is being logged when you are trying to get in game. Might give some clues if it is indeed something local.

    Oh, yeah, and if on Vista, Win7, or Win8--have you tried running the game as Admin (right-click the shortcut to the launcher and click to run as Administrator)?

    I'll check those out ASAP, thanks for the advice.

    I managed to get into the game, yes. But I never got to a point where I was in a town with other players. I only ever get to the opening scene after character creation... literally, the furthest point I've ever reached was when the merchant on the wagon asks why you become an adventurer. If I ever make it that far, every time I select "For power; glory; fortune" or whatever, I get disconnected.


    Edit: I have tried running as an administrator. I have Windows 7. Didn't seem to help... but its worth trying again I suppose :P

    I would also like to add that I often get disconnected by error 2002. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to get into character selection.

    If I manage to log in to my character, I'll always be disconnected by 90000... except for that single time I got a 10102. It's pretty strange... it seems to depend on when I try. Sometimes I'll always get 2002, and other times I always get 90000. Man, it makes me wonder if I should've gotten this for the PS3 :P

    I'm also getting the 90000 error and it's making the game unplayable for me as well. I am able to log in, and the different chats work, however other characters around me do not move around like time is frozen. I'm on Behemoth and just started getting this issue about 6-7 days ago. Not sure what to do besides just wait on it to fix itself since I had played the game for a while before this issue started.

    Well I'm not gonna lie. The fact that somebody else is also having log-in woes makes me feel a lot better... I'd rather it be SE's problem. That way it can be fixed!

    Whilst I'm terribad at network problems. I'll probably never play unless I just stumble onto a solution = \

    I'm having the same issue. No problems (other than the mass of people) since launch. All the sudden this week, can't connect with the 90K error. Well, most of the time I can connect, I can take 10 steps, and then I lose the connection with the error. I'm hoping to God they fix it in the upcoming maintenance.

    The only thing I am thinking that works...try playing at OFF PEAK times. I was able to log in at 1AM last night and run around and play just fine. I was like WTF...IT WORKS?! But now, this morning, I can't get in again. It might have something to do with congestion on the server again.

    Well I suppose I could try logging in at a ridiculously late hour, but I have things to do... like sleep. I might give it a shot tonight if at all possible, but I wish this weren't even an issue.

    I guess Monday morning might be a better time to try. Everyone will be at school... and little ol' in-between jobs me might be able to play.

    I tried logging in at 1AM at one point, but I *always* get disconnected. I've never managed to play yet. Sometimes I get a bit further into that annoying (after 1000 times watching it) intro scene than usual, but I can never actually get past it and actually move around with my character. Frustration.

    yup getting the same error. i have no problems at all until i get to connecting to a server, i haven't even been able to get into the world yet because i just get one of the errors listed above, usually 90000
