PC Version or PS3 Version

I find PC vastly superiour, but my PC is also built specifically for up to date gaming. Compared to what my PC can do, the PS3 graphics are bleh, controls are clunky, and my reaction times are artificially slowed down. In short, PC > PS3 if you have a good PC. (You can use a controller and the controller-based interface on the PC as well, so that's not a factor.)
I do have to say though, for Gathering, PS3 is very pleasant... lounging on my couch while farming shards is pretty cool, and graphics or quick reactions don't matter. (Crafting is okay, too, but can get annoying if you want to buy or sell in between).

I prefer the PS3, just because Im so use to a console controller. I thought my PC could handle it (I have 6GB on it, so theres plenty of room), but when I started playing it was lagging and incredibly slow.
So I bought the PS3. No lag.

Pc all the way, yup I own a ps3 also, biggest bonus is on pc you have quicker controls, much more options to keybind, and much more options for the ui, when ui mods start to roll out this will also be another plus for the pc version. Each to there own, but if u have a decent rig theres no reason why u would tather play this game on a ps3.

I have played both and still do since you are able to continue with your characters from pc to ps3 and vise versa. I do however prefer PC. You have better graphics and way better controls and I do use my ps3 controller when playing on the pc.

And the heat issue... Its annoying when that ps3 fan kicks in, I hate it.

I own both versions, but prefer the PS3 one. Playing FFXIV on big TV like a boss.

Do you regularly use your PC for gaming? Obviously don't go for the PC version if your PC isn't very good... you may run into problems that you otherwise would not if you got the PS3 version... or if you don't even enjoy playing video games on the PC.

I have the PC version simply because I prefer playing games on the PC no matter what. I have a modern rig, so I can run things just fine. Plus the graphics are just excellent.

I'm considering getting the PS3 version, though. That way I can play while laying in bed

I own the PS3 version, and having played multiple mmo's on the PC, I can say I prefer the PS3 version better. I find it a lot easier to play full 3D games like this with a controller (I keep a keyboard hooked up as well), it just feels like it makes gameplay a lot smoother to me. I don't really nitpick over picture quality of minor details like customization for features I rarely look at, so I'm content with my current version.

If your PC is good enough to run it at high to max settings then PC. If not PS3, either way you're going to enjoy the game.

I have and played both an honestly it's whatever system you get used to playing first. Graphics are amazing on PC but pretty good on PS3. I might gather or craft in PC but muscle memory has taken over and I cannot do any sort of DoW/DoM on PC. Love the PS3
