    Not to revive an old thread, but I really would love to see something done to fix this. Soundtrack's are one of Final Fantasy's strongest assets, and its a genuine shame that you never hear certain areas music for more than thirty seconds, or unless you engage a monster group in a dungeon.

    They have made changes going forward but from what I understand it will not be retroactive into older content. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing some ambitious young developer taking it on as a side project, but at least SE heard us and is fixing it for new content.

    I am really, REALLY sick of that terrible low level battle music that NEVER ENDS.

    I found this thread after this occurred to me while playing Pharos. I see it says they changed it for 2.1 but that dungeon is 2.1 content. Is there some option I need to choose to make this happen? Im pretty tired of the battle music, especially overriding Lost city, love that one, let it play.

    Well the dev specifically said "Hard Mode" dungeons, which do have looping music. I also recall another dev, on a different thread has said that dungeons before 2.2 will not have their dungeon themes redone to loop.

    Also, Lost City of Amdapor doesn't have a battle theme, save for the mini-bosses and the final boss. Why are you implying a battle theme does override it? Did 2.3 change something?

    Now that's a damn shame. Pharos Sirius in particular should have its music looped.

    Nope. There's no battle theme in Lost City except at boss battles.

    Maybe not looped, but treated similarly to how Titan's theme works (using him as an example due to how many themes he has). I can already imagine Through the Gloom being cut into four parts (singing, music, Siren humming and Siren singing for the boss fight), each part changing after every boss (though complete silence after Tyrant until you engage the Siren).

    I remember it losing the music at one point, it may have been an error, but I specifically remember being disappointed when the theme dropped. I havent played though that one in a while, nice to know thats the case.
