    Exactly. I dont know what they were thinking. Even the field BGM is lackluster. 30 second tracks followed by silence or or repeating battle music. The only thing that has full loops is town music and coil.

    Soken get your head outta them damn stockings and make us some good tunes!

    Coil's music > any other dungeon theme in the game because of this. Not only does it loop, the fact that it works PSO style and the music in combat is a ramped up version of the same song makes it light-years beyond the "music clip for 30 seconds and then silence with a generic battle theme" played everywhere else. There's no contest.

    Please make every dungeon's music like this.

    You sure it loops?
    Because as far as I know the Coil theme song is actually 15 minutes long.
    Are you sure you are hanging around long enough for all 15 minutes of theme to go by?

    I've been hoping for this since AAR Beta

    That being said, I really wish we could choose our chocobo theme. The rental chocobo theme is SO much better than the personal chocobo theme.

    And yes, Soken makes amazing music, but it would be better to hear more of it. Halatali is a good example.

    I'd also just like to take the time to say how great the FATE battle themes are.

    I've also been thinking about this OP!

    Except, to be clear, I'd like for it to blend with each other just like it did in 1.0...which you can experience (or reminisce) here:

    Notice how the battle and idle music are the same, just two different versions that swap as you enter / exit battles. THIS. Is what I miss the most out of Dungeons. Probably the only thing I miss from 1.0 dungeons really.

    And, if you just joined XIV when ARR was released, you'll notice that the opening music of the current Toto Rak is a nice nod to the original theme. A lot of music across Eorzea has the essence of the original music for those areas. It's just fantastic.



    Oh and just throwing this in here too, it's a nice little comparison video of the opening scene of Toto Rak from 1.0 and 2.0.
