lvl 50 crafters are useless

for higher level crafting, DO NOT BUY, stuff to make your items, (it will drain your gil fast)

you gather and make them your self
with other DoL and DoH classes

We're talking about endgame 2 star crafts that require tombstones from dungeons. You can't gather those, and certainly most people won't be looking to give them away as they sell for something like 60-100k a piece on the market.

Sadly you are wrong, ilvl 70 items can never have the same stat caps as ilvl 90 and certainly dont have the def and magic def either, which is one of the most important stats for end game because everything hits like a truck.

Which HQ items are better than level 90?

Apparently some accessories actually have more appropriate stats than the ilevel 90 accessories, depending on class.

General rule of thumb I go with on iLevel 70 gear. If you or a friend can guarantee HQ (for body piece only or in a tank's case both body and leg considering the mats for each are cheaper) then go for crafted iLevel 70. If not go for dark light.

Using this I now have an HQ melded Gryffonskin tunic for my bard. Looks so much better then dark light body and had slightly better stats

Yeah, don't level crafting, there are already too many competitors...

Also, don't level a battle class either---there are a lot of those too.

Oh, and gathering as well, don't do that either.
