Either way, they could just say that they saw other people sell it for that high, and told them self, why not?Right. If they're going to treat players who they have no idea whether or not they're RMT other than some automated flags as if we need a ban instantly, then at least have enough staff to talk to us. I don't want an apology a week later (although I doubt we'll get anything more than a cursory 'here's your account back, sorry for any inconvenience'), I want for them to tell us what the hell is going on.
Nice - Now the weekend is over I notice "LIVE" support has been removed from the Square Enix Support page. Really?
Nice way to do business. Drop your pathetic unwarranted bans on people prior to the weekend so you don't have to explain anything. Then you remove your "LIVE" support option Monday morning. Customer service in this game is in a terrible state. Luckily for you that you've only hit a minority of rich crafters. Try doing this crap to the majority of your players and see how it effects your subscriptions.
I don't understand how you can just suspend people for no reason without any explanations.
I worked my ass off to level and gear my crafters to their current state. Right now is the window of opportunity for those who levelled early. So all the hard work myself and other suspended crafters put in to make the most of this has been negated. Thanks for the pre warning that if you are too good at crafting and controlling the Markets you will get suspended.
Stop acting innocents I know crafters with 20mil+ gil on non legacy servers that were not banned.
To those discussing that Crafters should be banned for selling high priced items in the Markets place, get real. That's how Markets work. If you list a item for 1 million and it sells quickly, you go "Hmm that sold quick I'll list the next one for 1.2m". If that sells you sell the next one higher etc etc. Once they stop selling you reduce the price to find the comfortable medium whereby you get regular sales at maximum profit.
Not every Crafter is out there just to list items for your use. A lot of us WANT to make money, its not even about the Gil. Its how we like to play our games.
Mind you, I'm specifically making as much as I can early as I want to be a Hard core Choco Bo breeder when personal housing is released. Then also, who knows what will be released in the Gold Saucer zone for those with excessive amounts of gil.
I sold a couple silver, mythril, and electrum ingots and I got banned. I've probably invested 100k and have made ~25k profit. I'm pretty sure i have like ~25k gil total, nowhere even near 1 million. I'm so poor haha. Why is my account locked?
Yeah cause innocent players would spend that much time on the forums saying they did nothing right? Whatever the reason is for this blanket ban I just wish SE would at least explain why they did this so the community wouldn't be arguing so much. And why would everyone suspended would have 8 mil+, non legacy server and no one else is. Who in hell is stupid enough to buy so much gil from RMT and just let it sit on it's player. Try asking yourself questions before rushing in and shout that everyone is a bot or something unless you enjoy being a sheep
When the "ban" started, they switched the 3$ 1m to 25$ 1m.This seems like another important question that suggests the simplest answer: Not the crafters who got banned. How much does gil go for on RMT these days? I haven't seen a /sh in the cities in a couple days now for obvious reasons, but I'm pretty sure I was sitting on several hundred dollars worth of gil at least - why on Earth, with my time and resources as a top-tier crafter, would I spend that kind of money on gil just to sit on it? I had enough gil to fund my operation way before the RMT started showing up.
They just ban people who got millions of gil in one day, by magic
if you are a gatherer/crafter making profit don't worry![]()

i'd go with the very latter here.

Not to discourage you, but from the looks of my chat log, it hasn't been crippling. There are still a mass amount of spammers flooding the chat or sending private "tells"
