Did you have over 10mil on the 27th of September?
Was is all "on hand" on your main character? or was it in retainers/on alts?
I have close to a million gil, and the only stuff I sell are Culanarian food and materia that I got from farming spirit bond gear in CM... It's not hard to get a million gil playing legitimately.I'm guessing it may be targeting people with over 1,000,000 gil.
Most of these people are either Win sellers, who sell a win run for 500K and higher, and chest farmers, who have abused the current system to gather High value mats people pay high amount of gil for by joining groups and making people who want to run the dungeon leave so they can continue to harass another goup they will join to continue their chest farming.
I'd have to hope it is way more then 1mil gil. I have crafting to 22 and have reached 250k from selling items I can make and buying items off vendors and selling the for 4x what i buy them for. I haven't even really tried to make money yet. If i focused that i'd easily be in the millions.I'm guessing it may be targeting people with over 1,000,000 gil.

1,000,000 gil is not a lot. If you are a crafter - really avid crafter - you can make that easily in a day or two of selling crafted gear. Especially weavers, selling HQ crafted "crafting" gear.I'm guessing it may be targeting people with over 1,000,000 gil.

I have 6.4mil legitimately... God they better not dare ban me. D:I'm guessing it may be targeting people with over 1,000,000 gil.

Saw this on the redit topic a few minutes agoEdit2: I just got off the phone with support. The support fellow (very helpful) let me know that the account is banned for 72 hours for RMT investigation. He put me on hold for a few minutes and came back to let me know that his colleagues are all dealing with calls about this as well - his best guess is that they blanket banned folks with a lot of gil and will be figuring out which are RMT and which aren't. This is a terrible way of going about this, but it's better than directly being banned for the titular reason
If you think everyone with over a million gil is somehow abusing the system you have an incredibly narrow-minded view. I move millions of gil worth of product on the market boards daily and I buy or farm all of my own materials.I'm guessing it may be targeting people with over 1,000,000 gil.

Not to mention, those "win sellers" are completely legal. There's nothing in the ToS against selling a run to someone. What harm does it do that those with plenty of gil can pay a group of players to run them through something? They can sell their sword just like I can sell my hammer.
This is not even a lot of gil, such a cap would be ridiculous. There are items that sell for 1/5th of that cost on their own.
You are talking out your butt!!! You obviously have NO IDEA WTF YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!!!!I'm guessing it may be targeting people with over 1,000,000 gil.

Tons of people, myself included, Are Millionaires through legit means. I'm legacy, I made MILLIONS in 1.0 & so did many other's. So don't go spouting that BS. Just because you can't make millions doesn't mean other people haven't figured out how.
You know when you see some crazy priest in movies doing witch hunt and burning anyone they see, they're are based off people like himYou are talking out your butt!!! You obviously have NO IDEA WTF YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!!!!

If they are doing mass sweeps, the ones getting banned are probably linked to suspicious bottling activity. These players may have been marked weeks ago, and SE only recently got around to taking on this whole not fiasco.
I have never played a game or worked with a company that banned players for having "too much" gil. Most likely there are other factors at play here and your not getting the whole story.
