This is kinda scary, it makes me not want to make any gil at all, just so I can keep playing, most other games don't man someone for legitly making gil through hard work and dedication. the best advice now is to start spending tons of gil on teleports and vendor crap just to keep way below 10 mil.

I admit I didn't think gil sellers would have any foothold in ARR because of the rate of gil obtaining that was seen in beta 3. It looked all good then, but SE screwed the pooch by both lowering the rate of gathering tremendously, decreasing the amount of gil earned from quests and guildleves, increasing the material cost of the highest level crafting recipes causing their prices to inflate, and slowing down the spiritbond rate causing their prices to inflate. They literally asked RMT to take foothold in ARR.... If it weren't for all that maybe this wouldn't be as much of an issue.

Blame SE for making stupid last minute changes, blame the weak minded for falling to the temptation of the gil seller.

Hey they are just going about it the same way the U.S. judicial system works: they temp suspend you = arrest then they investigate, if your found innocent you get unbanned = charges dropped released if your found guilty your perma-banned. Also contrary to what people think innocent until proven guilty is a sugar coated theory realistically it's guilty until proven innocent. So if you did nothing wrong just understand its part of the investigative procedure and I hope you get some kind of credit for days lost but if you know you dabbled in something illegal well all I can say is GOOD RIDDANCE.

People in this thread saying they got banned with EIGHT figures of gil.. jesus. I don't know how some of you got that much money, but I'm going to be honest here.. I don't think SE had EVER intended ANYONE to make eight figures of gil in under a month of the games life. They likely issued bans simply because they don't know how the flipping hell you have that kind of money, and they need to actually investigate your account to see it is legit - because honestly.. While I don't doubt some of you here worked hard for your money, I would very easily put anyone into question that made that much without some good evidence to prove it was through normal means..

In other words, some people are exceptional - too exceptional, and may have downright broke the game in terms of their business sense, time management, or all around gil-savvy ways. While that itself doesn't warrant a ban of course, SE obviously never intended this much money being made and probably can't at a glance believe you made it legitimately anymore than the next person. Once they prove you've done no wrong, it'll get lifted though.. The rest who are up to no good though? Down the crapper those guys go.

I mean come on.. You got to admit, eight figures is obscene. There's nothing in this game that you need that kind of money for, and most struggle just to hold six figures at times.. It's terribly unusual, so having it raise alarms isn't strange. The knee-jerk bans might seem harsh though, and I do agree they kind of are, but this gil-seller nonsense is out of control, I think it's kind of just them panicking.

Difficulty depends on who you ask, it's not that hard for me but still.. It is still unusual to have eight figures. I sit on six figures and never need for anymore really, I don't know why some stockpiled it, and I don't fault them for it, but it's a crazy amount and I'm positive they never intended that much money to fall into players hands this early. Just seeing that amount on the database probably freaked a lot of people out, hence the panic.

When the whole server comes to you for relics for the first 2-3 days when you are the only one who can craft.
You can easily make a fortune.

When you can guarantee HQ T2 using NQ materials, you can get business.
When you have a good reputation, there is a lot of referral work that gets sent to you from your previous customers.

I made a nice fortune, but there are those who i know who made more by just flipping stuff on market. I make maybe a mil a week at the moment doing small things and once in a while a large syth due to a lot of T2 crafters now competiting and willing to offer cheaper than what i am welling to do it for. People ask me why i don't buy up the potash or animal fats market and rig it? Really against my rules, i really don't feel like being a derp, and i really like doing business person to person as its better to establish relationships and have repeat customers. marketplace is really "cold" and more of a 1 time thing.

This is just plain stupid. Banning people just because they have huge gil. Are se staffs really that dumb? Tbh there are a lot of ways in earning gil and these crafters can pretty much make 300k a day easily. They just have to spam buying 125philo items craft them to i70 and get profit. It only cost around 90k (during the first few weeks) and they can sell them for 300k. Now imagine they can sell around 2 pcs a day they earn around 400k tops and within 5days you get 2m gil. 2mil gil in 5 days. And that is if they buy the materials, if they farm it on their own then it exponentially increases their profit.

Now youre saying se is going to ban these guys who worked hard to be the first hq crafters for the profit?
