No I think the best solution would be to make it so mobs drop a key needed to open the chest. One random near by mob has the key kill it than you can open it.

The only issues i have had in dungeons is archers and lancers acting like tanks and healers acting like DPS oh and then there is the occassional person who shows up take a hit from a monster and leaves because they got hurt and took damage. Otherwise i have yet to run into these chest farmers but when you put it in the game that you can return these items for seals i can see why they are doing it. Now get rid of the ability to return those items for seals and problem solved no more chest farmers. Until then i agree if they decide they want to do a stunt like that you can always run ahead get an angry mob on you and lead them right back to him lol. Or just sit patiently and wait him out. OR here is a thought get an FC and run with FC members people you know that arent gonna just jump in for the goodies (well not JUST for the goodies anyways).
The idea of Evil is birthed by stupidity and ignorance and flourishes in the mind and heart of humanity.
I did my 1st Wanderer's Palace
Our PLD did this, dropped group before 1st boss,
I mean... this is like horrible? Just another really bad thing to do.....
Just another really bad thing going on in game atm...
That won't solve this problem. They're not turning the items in for seals. The items they're after are using for the weapons needed for the relic quests. The only issues i have had in dungeons is archers and lancers acting like tanks and healers acting like DPS oh and then there is the occassional person who shows up take a hit from a monster and leaves because they got hurt and took damage. Just think, if we ignore him now, the troll won't win. Just sayin'.
True!! People keep crying because they cant find good parties in duty finder.
Well duh!? Since the release all duty finder party sucks. So if you still continue on using it youre either really dumb for repeating your mistake over and over or really just wanted to group up with trash pugs
I'm not sure you understand the actual issue.
Make it so the loot isn't handed out until the final boss dies.
If you report it as harassment then the GM's may (or may not) act.
In Final Fantasy XI (which should have the same ruleset at XIV) there was a time when Summoners could gain mass XP using game mechanics (level synch all the Summoners, one person claims all the mobs in the zone, drags them to the summoners who then 2 hour for massive chain XP). If a player saw that and interrupted that by claiming the mobs or basically screwing with the other players then the GM's would take action (if the GM's were correct or not is a totally different matter).
The player is harassing your party............ use the Terms Of Service........
Said player is disrupting your Game experience (and the experience of the other 2 players) so could be breaking rule 3.2, the reply from the GM actually stated that if you report them for harassment they will investigate, so if anyone does that to you in a party, quote rule 3.2Originally Posted by 3. 3.2 Disruption. You may not in any way disrupt or interfere with the Game experience of other players, including the disruption of Square Enix's computers and servers.
