FPS drop into connection lost issue

Hi, I just started playing the game. It was going great for the first hour or so, but now I'm having an issue where the game will tab out for a few seconds on it's own, and when it comes back up there is a serious FPS drop.

I then log out and reload the game to attempt to fix it, but when I try to log in I get the following error "Connection with server was lost". It either gives me code 90000 or code 10102 with this message.

Any idea on how this can be fixed, if it's a problem on my end?

Sounds like a classic "The Display Driver crashed, but has recovered" deal.

What make of GPU are you using (example: AMD, Nvidia) and what driver version?

No you would have the windows message if that occurred, I'm quite familiar with what that looks like.

My drivers are all up to date and my video card is a geforce 660 ti

I can see from google that this is a common issue amoung the game I see not resolution for it in my searches though, which I why I'm posting here.

By "tab out" does it just drop to the desktop or is it actually "black screening" for a few seconds?

The display driver crashing doesn't always display the windows message for whatever reason, the exact problem you're describing happens to me in a few other games (black screen, recovery, terrible FPS).

The only way I've found to fix this is to alt+tab out, wait a few seconds, and then alt+tab back in. It seems to fix the low fps about 90% of the time.

Ah ok, I was under the impression that you were trying to stop it from tabbing out thus eliminating the need to relog to fix the problem.

As far as errors 90000 and 10102 go, no there is nothing you can do to fix this. These errors are something on SE's end that they have yet to fix and no one seems to have found a solution.


The only thing I can recommend is "try, try again." =(
