    Towers

    We can come up with an endless amount of ideas for them but; is it possible to implement towers in a game like this? I know they can build down but; building up must be tougher. Like 10+ storeys up to provide a meaningful battle to the top?

    Limsa is an example of something exciting to march on as it gets larger on the horizon. Then have to battle across the bridge and to the top of the tower.

    Well, its perfectly doable. Nyzul was a tower-like system at FFXI.

    I do enjoy tower systems too. Hopefully the new dungeons will have similar system...i love having the boss at dungeon end and beating it unlocking a harder new part/version of that dungeon.

    Dragonica (F2P MMO) has an excellent tower system...pretty much every dungeon there uses this system. You can have from 1~4 floors quick towers to up to 50 floors towers.

    I do think it would bring a very interesting challenge to players since they can just choose dificulty based on floor. Thumbs up for the idea! ^^

    I'd love the idea of tower dungeons, especially if it adds more diversity and landmarks to existing maps. Such things would be a test of endurance as well of outright strength.

    As with most games with tower dungeons players should be able to save progress every so many floors (5, 10, 20) so you can return later if need be. If they were to do that maybe put a pre-requisite of "players can only warp to a floor with their party if they have been there before." That way you can't just take new people straight up to a top floor you saved on last time.

    Maybe they'll do something like that with the crazy tower in Mor Dhona? That place looks so ominous, I'd be surprised if they didn't do something like that with it. Otherwise some other tower elsewhere could be cool I guess. It's a good idea though obaley.

    Great idea!! They could also add a huge tower with like 100 levels to make the hard core kiddos happy

    That's a good idea for diversity within the game.

    Another good idea like that would be an underground dungeons, Or maybe a village of thieves or beast-men. Right now there are a lot of roaming beast-men, but there are no actual camps where they live, like in ffxi I really liked how the beast-men had their own towns where they lived.

    More random dungeons that aren't located on the maps would be nice in my opinion, would give a bigger reason to explore. Might find something no one has ever seen, an unknown dungeon.

    I too think adding some towers as dungeons would be a good call. I think not only should they be for dungeon runs, but also for quests and whatnot, so you could have some towers that are instanced, like the dungeons that are coming, and some that you are able to explore in the open world.

    I'd like to see tower style dungeons as long as they have actual BGM, there is a boss at the top or on certain floors, and there are balcony areas between certain floors, where you can look out over the landscape.

    The very top should always be silent with just environmental sounds though.
