    have u tried dotting in odin, its freaking impossible. the dotting system in this game is by far the worst i have ever seen. how are we suppose to contribute in fates when we cant even place a dot. either summoner dots take preference or they make # dots infinite. i wonder if the ppl at SE are retarded for real.

    BTW there is a limit to dots, how do I know, cuz there is a spell called fester that does dmg when you have placed dots on a target. When you get 0 after 0, you know for a fact that you have not been able to place any dots. Before commenting on a class, make sure that you have played it, and you know what you are talking about, instead of guessing or talking out of your #$%.

    I decided to play as BLM for this reason, since I will only have one dot to deal with.

    Whenever I try to do Odin/Behemoth fate, my fester would do nothing. Therefore, I was basically slowing my party from earning gold. It's not fair for me, or for the team itself.

    To me, this isn't just an issue about Summoner itself. Many people have already pointed out that many OTHER classes such as Dragoons and Bards are potentially suffering.

    How much of an area do you think Bane covers? I've never had an instance of bane hitting all the spiders of wave 1 of turn four even once.

    As mentioned previously, this is false. Bane will only spread to a maximum of three enemies, allowing a Summoner to hit four enemies in total. Need proof? Refer to my feedback thread in the DPS forum. A Japanese player reported this as a bug, and it was moved to the working as intended section the same day. If you ask me, I think its poor design, among the many other problems the job has.

    Yeah, you don't know indeed. The limitiation of debuffs is ridiculous and will trivialize any Dot dependend class. Summoners will be the first to get left out since their dps will plummet if fester won't hit for its max potential.

    Just something to keep in mind, what we know of the 24 man content right now is that it will be 3 groups of 8. As far as I know, nothing has been said about all of those people actually fighting one boss. They will interact with each other, but it's possible they will not actually form a 24 man team.

    Anyone else know more about that? This will alleviate some Summoner fears.
