how would BLM dps suffer without using DoT spells... BLM main spells are nukes... And SMN's still have Summons and also Shadow Flare that is a DoT PBAoE so that wont just fall off...crystal tower.
24 people
as a paladin i can place 3 debuffs on bosses myself, as a monk another 3, as a dragoon 4, as a summoner there's 5-6, and bard and blm dps would suffer quite a bit without their dots applied
basically in crystal tower, summoner's just won't do damage to any boss where all 3 parties meet up

We need a setting to auto use Aetheryte Tickets ~ An amount set by the players like set to 500 Gil if a teleport cost over that amount it will auto-use a ticket!

It actually does when you are dealing with 24 people in a raid, unless SE have made content that splits the group up or has multiple mobs it is pretty limiting.
You are missing the point, have you played a SMN yet ?
70% of their damage comes from dots, you take that away and SMNs are no longer wanted for 24 man content.
As others have mentioned almost ever class has a debuff of some kind and it effects all of these from posion to blind, so slow, DoT, everything, and I'm not even sure if this is taking into effect monsters own buffs on top of that.
FATEs aren't balanced for 24 people and only 24 people though, unlike crystal tower, perhaps they have taken this into account though when making these boss fights, but all I see from this is we don't want SMN because their damage sucks and it will be through no fault of their own.Gw2 has a retarded limitation, I main necro, I know the feels. On this though its much better. Ofc there needs to be a limitation because the servers can't handle it. Just as a heads up I main summoner in this and I have not run into this issue yet except in massive fates and if there's that many people at a fate I highly doubt my dots are a major concern for maximum dps.

Yeah, you don't know indeed. The limitiation of debuffs is ridiculous and will trivialize any Dot dependend class. Summoners will be the first to get left out since their dps will plummet if fester won't hit for its max potential.
"Bring the player, not the class" - Squeenix has a lot to learn still.

Because fates are the only content bigger than 8 people. wait until there is content designed to be difficulty for 24 people, and the smn's are unable to keep their dots up in a situation where it will matter.Gw2 has a retarded limitation, I main necro, I know the feels. Meanwhile in a little land called Azeroth, a mob can have thousands of debuffs on it. And those Dots tic significantly faster than the ones here. There's no way any modern server can't handle more than 30.
Seriously, this oversight is impossible and people are freaking out for no reason. SE hasn't said anything, and everything everyone here is saying is just jumping the gun a bit too much. Try this, relax a bit and maybe not worry so much about a video game. Life will go on, you'll get your DoTs.
Indeed. It was possible for just 1 or 2 players to hit the DoT cap between them, and ALL classes cause DoTs incidentlly even if they don't spec for them which meant a couple incidental dot classes like warrior and ranger, could block a legitimate DoT orientated class (like necro) from doing any damage at all
