Yes i do agree that "Jump" is dragoon signature move. However i hope that they will improvise on the dragoon of ffxi and maybe give us more dragon-like abilities. Haha maybe something like a "fire breath" lol

Well in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Dragoons had the front cone breath abilities for the 3 elements. It's not too entirely far-fetched honestly. Though in FFTA Dragoons could also use greatswords but I doubt we'd see that here.
i rather have a dragon then a wyvern.... .
IMO the wyvern as it was at XI (mime) would be a waste of time here. Seeing the pace the fights go in this game, hacing an wyvern like FFXI one would certainly means drastic damage nerf to class or a pet so weak that would be pointless to use.
I say this because, as mime pet, it would need the same approach used in FFXI that is DRG + wyvern = non-pet job dps. However, would be nice being able to transform into wyverns or you change to "petmaster" mode where you shift controls between player and pet so there would never have both fighting at same time...this would allow they both to fight with dps even to a non-pet class.
Who the hell would want an 11 style Dragon in 14? No, I want Oboro back with a plethora of options built into him this time. If shield gets its own array of skills by level of which it is so can my Dragon. The possibilities to rectify the screw-ups in 11 have a large field to play on/with.
I agree, i for one vote for spike flail to be among its arsenal. It would be nice to see some physical changes to the wyvern as you rank up as well.Who the hell would want an 11 style Dragon in 14? I know. During FFXI even i suggested them to give dragoons multiles wyerns, each with its own playstyle...they didn't use this there but could use here...like having a bulky wyvern planned for tanking purposes, the original one for offense, a pixie-like one for healing support, a snake-looking one for pulling, etc.Who the hell would want an 11 style Dragon in 14? But what i meant isn't about the wyvern...i meant about the mime system used by it. I would rather seeing a wyvern similar to PUP automaton build or even something like FFXI's SMN system, which would fit this game easily due this actions system...make you equip some kind of summoning stone to define the wyvern kind (preventing pet swap) and add a basic and a brand new list of actions for it (like sentinel does to shield).
i defintly think I would like pup style control but simpler, rather than the full control you gain from summoner.
Maybe however like pup have different attachments to the the wyvern/dragon to turn it into specific roles.
Also give us the choice of style of dragon when we unlock the job would be awsome.
I don't think Dragoon will receive a wyvern, it'll be like kain highwind from FFIV, since I think they'll go for iconic builds for jobs like Cecil's gear for DRK/PLD or Kain for Dragoon. My thing is if classes were to receive more than one advanced job, what would lancer receive outside of Dragoon, unless they made a polearm war type or polearm sam type. THis is of course assuming advanced jobs are weapon locked.
I miss my Oboro, but I could definitely go for some dragon-like abilities for the character such as breath attacks. Maybe make them consume MP and TP kind of like Red Lotus Blade, possibly having a debuff effect (Fire Breath - Burn) or whatever. Healing and -na type breaths would be cool too, but that may be a bit much.
