Tackle box needed for bait

The tackle box exists already and it detects which baits we have so they just need to keep that and remove the items from the inventory. Of course the box should be accessible only when in fisher gear.

why not just removing all the different baits and just keep a handfull, wich work like the different gig heads from spearfishing? keep like 10 different baits, wich are unlimited, and the inventory issue is solved. whats even the point of limited bait wich you have to buy / grind scrips for, when the fish are locked behind a giant RNG wall anyway?

How many different baits and lures do you use in a month? As for the ones you want to keep just in case, that's what retainers are for.

I'm goddess of the land and hand, I gather and craft almost every day, keep materials in inventory, only casually fish, but still have room for 2 - 3 lines of bait.

My fisher alt has room for 2 pages....

All of them. When finding a new fishing spot or even more so when hunting for rare big fish, you want to have them all on you. Given the weather requirements for some, I'd very much like to have them all on me all the time so at not to miss an opportunity when I'm in the right place, at the right time with the right weather. It's ridiculous to have to carry several bags worth of baits and/or taking precious retainer space when not using them. I'd rather save my retainer space for craft materials and nice looking gear for all the classes (since the armoire is pretty useless given its restricted item list).

Don't say it's not a necessary feature just because you don't see the point or your gamestyle doesn't require it. Clearly many people would find it useful.

Of course it would be useful. BUT we have been asking for this since 2.0 beta. We have been told repeatedly it is not going to happen.

My fisher alt makes her living by fishing alone. She carries 24 different baits and lures. This is enough for any decent money ARR and HW fish as well as the two HW big fish she has yet to land and every SB bait and lure.

Why are you hoarding ARR/HW bait when none of them work in SB zones, which is most likely where new fish will be added? That's not even touching the fact that all non-lure fishing bait from ARR can be bought for less than 1k Gil per inventory slot.

Is it really that hard to just buy older bait for when you need it instead of forcibly making your inventory smaller by holding Sixty-two stacks of different fishing bait?

The game isn't forcing you to carry around "several bags worth" of bait, you are.

Been a while but yeah, when you're looking for those oddly rare fishes that require weather and time conditions (not everyone has been playing since ARR so some folks might still want to get their old fishing logs complete), sometimes you don't have time to waste to go buy stuff. And people can say "but you can prepare in advance" and yadda yadda yadda but I still think the way fisher is handled is not great. I've seen they've added some more generic baits which already helps, but I'm not sure they work for the rare fishes. Can anyone confirm they do?

They do but they do not discriminate nor isolate.

If you are going big fishing you need specific bait.

The tackle box thing is even starting to annoy me. They gave us a Chocobo with a metric crap ton of space. They enlarged out inventory space as well as our Retainer space a while back. They gave us 400 slots in the Glamour Box and even more space in the Armoire thing... As you can see from this picture i have pretty much any and all bait i could EVER need b/c i like to be ready to fish any spot at any moment b/c i never know when i am going to get the itch to try to catch a rare fish. I still have 2 and some change inventory available to handle all the fish on the new boat added...

If you feel you still need a Tackle Box at this point you need to fix yourself at this point...
