    Spiritbond on used gear ...

    Hello ,

... is there any way to reset (Spiritbond) of any gear/tool that was already used
    back to 0 (zero) percent?

Earlier, in XIV 1.0, we could just move our fully repaired usable items to our (Retainer)s,
and it worked just fine .

    But not nowadays ... (Why?).

Why would you like to do that?

I know that stuff you put in your Armoire will reset the spiritbound.

I was wondering about this too. I wanted to sell some items I had worn, and put materia on etc, but that were too low a level to be useful to me anymore. They were to low to produce any materia of value, but I couldn't sell them either because they had spiritbond. For now I am keeping them in my retainer for later. If there isn't a solution, I will just discard.

You can still move used gear to your retainer.
You only can't sell it on the AH.

The moment the gear earn 1% spirit bound it get character bound. To be able to reset spirit bound would go against the whole character bound idea.

The main reason of implemetation of (Spiritbond) was simply to convert used gear
from user that built up (Spiritbond) at 100% to some (Materia) of certain rank :/.
    That is it!

New user or his/her (Retainer) = (Spiritbond) reset or lost. It does work with (Armoire), why not (Retainer)s again?

At current date, there is no reason to meld more than 1 (Materia) to gear/tool while
using that by oneself OR buy HQ stuff from LV1 to ~50,
'cause by using that there is only two ways to recycle:

trade to NPC at lowest gil amount OR convert to (Materia) at 100% (Spiritbond) :/.

And there is no way of awesome piece of gear to change owner :/.

Does that mean: more Gil/client's time in need -> RMTs have more priority and are much-needed?
