make another character to level another class

to those who feel we should have all the quests reset to level another class (which I don't find necessary), why don't you make another character and just do the quests all over again?

yes you have to do your main quests / chocobo / airship again but don't you do that in most MMO anyway? restart the whole game?

yes you have to re-level other classes for their cross abilities but that wont take long either. the option is still a viable one.

Just make sure you create a tank or healer, because the wait times at dungeons and gh are massive.

A good thing to do thought, when your main class first goes to a new region create a class you may need and then do all the lower level quests in that area before you move to the next region. Then do the same in that region. This way by the time you are able to move freely between regions you will have a main and two possible support classes at roughly the same level. At this point you should now be close enough to start doing leves, dungeons and god forbid if you must, you can start joining the masses of fate farming groups.

The issue is the amount of core content and QoL features like the ability to sell on the AH, access to ferry and airship travel, a bank, etc. that is locked behind forced-group content. Given the horrible state of grouping this game has degenerated into there's a damned good reason for NOT starting a new character that has to suffer that.

If this content locking was per-account then fine, but it's not, so it isn't.
