Thanks for putting this together. I think you have nicely laid out the main issues with this game.

I subscribed for 3 months as I think that is sufficient time to give an MMO a chance and see the direction it will go in.

As it stands right now, I will not be resubscribing unless many of these things get addressed. I understand that these would be fundamental changes to the game, but necessary for long term success.

I will be incredibly disappointed if SE handles the new jobs just like SMN where there is barely a SMN story and its synced to the lvl that the parent class is at so you don't have to lvl it at all in order to get to 50. Also, you share your attribute points between all jobs under a class so SCH/SMN share attribute points which is moronic considering that one is DPS and one is a healer.

As a FF fan since FF2 in the US, I am pretty disappointed at what this game was in 1.0 and even more disappointed that they still couldn't get it right for 2.0.

I do wish there the AOE attacks were more frequent. I also wish there were "builds" and I wish the weapons were more unique. Why does Frostbite not have a %chance to freeze the enemy? Things like this make a game and combat more interesting. I made a thread on reddit saying that combat more or less needs to be overhauled with more choices and more risk vs reward. I'll be putting it on here once I'm high enough to make threads.

I agree fully with your assessment of the game and i came to the same conclussion as the TC
I ran every dungeon soooo many times to get every bit of gear for my tank that dropped, then my class quest just gave me better ,like WTF, seriously, why did i bother wasting my time , i should have just run fates with the million other sheep.

That was the first straw, the final straw was running 2 dungeons over and over to get tomes to buy better gear, i gave up. Im not doing that, its beyond pointless and not fun at all.

I'll tell you what you missed. Everything on that front page of yours is fine an dandy for good criticism but there is a HIGE amount of us who can't even experience that. You wanna know why? Because we're crippled by both latency issues and terrible routing to go with. Why is there no mention of the latency issues? Or the poor routing between ISP's and this game in certain locations??

Love! Game has been out only a month....get over it...it is not WoW or FFXI....I tell my husband that a lot....they will fix issues eventually

I fully agree with what you said, i really want to enjoy this game though, But logging in just feels like a waste of time atm. i'm willing to wait it out for a bit longer but the notes i read about the upcommig update dont look like they will be catering to my needs. I dont have the motivation to lvl to 50 cause knitting socks seems like more entertainment for now.

I feel the same way, I'm making my own fun though, and just talking and spending time with friends, etc. is fun. I RP, and make videos, etc. It's an entertainment to me, but it could of been so much better. I think when they release more end game content it'll be a bit better, but that doesn't mean the majority of what I said will ever go away, it simply won't because of how they setup the game. Except End Game will have "new" dungeons to look forward too to grind 100x over.

I really wanted to disagree with what you were about to say after reading you first few paragraphs, but after reading the meat of the article, I couldn't. You make some valid points.
