UI and other improvements I feel that can help.

First and Foremost I have to say I love FFXIV not as much as FFXI but I love it. secondly I noticed some things that can clean up the UI.

    1) Damage over time Dots from other players. I can not find the option to turn off other players dots, that are cast on creatures. it gets confusing trying to figure out whose dots are whose when when they are this small and all look like the same color.. if their is the option to turn off others dots that would make it easier for me to keep track of my own dots, or have the ability to make my dots stand out from this to this .

    2) we can set up the raid/party and regular interface, but we have the inability to move the chat box?

    part 2

    3) the ability to turn off the ability description of spells in the hotbar. I am both a clicker and a keyboard user but when I scroll over an ability I get a box reminding me what my spell does in the hot bars. the ability to just have the spell name or nothing at all would be greatly appreciated, if I need to know what a spell does I can look it in my ability/action page.

    4) The ability to keep moving forward when casting instant cast spells and not running head first into the mob would be a blessing. I hate running from a mob to cast aero or something else to take 5 steps to him cast have to face away again and put room between me and him. I should be able to cast and run

I hate bringing up WoW but their "shouts" were on a timed delay so you could only shot x time before you had to wait x amount of time. This would I feel would slow down the spam every second from ASDGYH HJUYD guy standing in Ul'dah yelling every 1 second with the spam over and over and over and over again.

Any icons on the min map should be labeled what they are especially for gathering. If I am on my botanist and I see a small wheat thing and I put my mouse over top of it it would tell me it is a level 20 lumber spot or a mining spot.

Leather worker needs a passive skill if you are a to increase the % chance of animals dropping skin/hide. having to kill 20-30 animals to get 1 hide and 2 skins is brutal, it seems we are punished for wanting to craft.
