Tips on how to beat Titan HM with DF

Spam DF till you get group where everyone has the following requirements:


1. Full Darklight gear or equivalent.
2. Gurada weapon or better.
3. Good connection
4. Know the fight ( watched videos etc etc been to at least phase 5 and beyond )
5. Paladin MT , Warrior OT preferred for more dps .

Pretty simple really , but good luck trying to find that group .

This is actually pretty accurate.

DF for titan really sucks and is much better to run with premade grp or your FC. If you are DFing titan you basically wanna queue until you get the "magical pug".

Yes of course ppl have done him in bikini's however you are forgetting while they lose chest piece they are using relic +1 weps, using voice communication, have successfully done the fight many times, and the rest of their gear is most likely ilvl90 or at very least ilvl70.

You forgot to mention patience. Even if and when you've finally found "the perfect group", someone just leaves after one or two fails. So yeah, if you account for everything, DF titan kills could mean one in hundred or maybe a thousand. Queuing as dps could take weeks if you're unlucky.

An easier method would be to join an fc or make a premade group and replace the noobs until you find the right mix. Titan DF is for practice. That's all it is. When you're completely new, you have to go into DF and practice and wipe until you're good enough to join a premade team. Then with a premade team, hopefully they can get to p5 on a more consistent basis so you can learn it. Once you have a team proficient in p5, you're ready to kick titan's butt and acquire the ultimate weapon.

GC weapon is enough. Healers should dps for most of heart phase too.

I've actually never seen the GC weapon provide enough dps unless everyone else is relic or better. It does require mostly i70 gear. Including the weapon.

The DPS check on heart is not harsh at all as long as people know how to DPS and the healers join in. Most people haven't a clue how to do that and vastly underperform with their level of gear though.

A good player will easily have enough with GC weapon. Don't even need DL/AK tier gear to be honest.

LOL. Yea a GC weapon Is good enough I have done the fight with pug groups many time, as long as people know there job and don't die in the fight (do to there error) its an easy fight even if your in AK gear even with no DL.

Yesterday we carried a SMN that I guarantee had know idea what she was doing as far as playing her job went, which hurt our dps, but at least she didn't die.

Absolute minimum gear-wise is AK gear with DL accessories and Ifrit HM weapon (ilvl 60). Anything below that is unacceptable. These things are so easy to get and people like the above saying what they say is exactly why undergeared folks waltz right in and the party fails every time. Also what I don't see mentioned enough is that on the Heart phase, the healers have to cleanse the debuff or else you will not have enough DPS.
