I for one say NO to name changes. You should be stuck with the name you picked.

Foul players who taint their name should be stuck with it! Plain and simple. I understand some people want their named changed because they picked something silly ( just looking at some in this thread is proof enough)

I've seen countless names that, well, aren't really names at all but words... I guess you should think harder and more long term the next time you pick one.

So long as SE doesn't screw it up, and blacklists, etc. are associated with the player ID and not the name, this shouldn't be a problem.

If I am a tank that wants to pay 1000 dollars to get i110 bound gear, then I should be able too. I wouldn't compete in PvP, so there is no "advantage" because we aren't competing.

I unfortunately would really like to be able to change my name without forcing it when transfer is available. My name abbreviation is DF.. same as Duty Finder.

I get confused when people say they hate DF or DF is useless etc.

If someone did something major to piss a lot of people off (unless they were a bunch of selfish people) need to live with their actions and learn from them.

unless compromised by RMT with no interaction, trade, and violation of TOS. then they should be restored an allowed a full change.

Well yeah; that's primarily who wants name changes -- folks using a Fantasia. Who wants to switch from Male to Female and be stuck with Ralph? Or Female to Male and stuck with Cindy?

There's no reason this would have to affect social and blacklists, either. That's ridiculous.
