This games graphics are really nice... They just aren't used right for lack of better words. We need better shadowing. We need less barren wastelands... but alas all this has already been said and so is what I'm about to say, but hell whatever.

There aren't enough attack animations but besides just different animations, how about they make it feel like we are actually attacking the enemy and not just have attacks going off and its health going down. Some kind of tiny knock back or something to make it feel like the attacks are really connecting and its not just a series of animations.

Besides the knock back the one skill the keeps coming to mind when thinking of how attacks should be is the pugilist skill Seismic Shock. For the love of god we are final fantasy characters in this game. We should be doing something at least semi enjoyable to look at. This game is too bland. When I got seismic shock it was a breath of fresh air from how boring the other attacks were. Of course not overkill otherwise this game will become too unrealistic but at least something would be nice.

Overall I just made this thread to do a bit of complaining cause I haven't yet and I felt like joining the fray, and that it may be a good place to compile everyone's ideas on how to make this game feel more real and exciting, be it animations or even just shadowing.

P.S.: Why the hell is it so damn dreary? I know the umbral age or something is coming but once that is over can we get some more vibrant colors and beautiful scenery? I want to be at least a little happy when I get fed up killing endless dodo's and decide to stare off into the distance... or a blank wall. XD

what dis game needs is for da party to sit in one place for 5 hrs and hit a mob ova and ova while we chit chat in Linkshells with ma miqote bitches. and den just wen you thought da game couldnt get any better, we get to watch our hp bars go up an down because it more interestin then watching the battle on screen. not that u can actually see da battle cos our animations are all up in yo grill half the time. they be flashy and all crazy and shit. Damm gurl, dis game i just described is like da jesus of the MMO.

Yeah! We might have barren bland and boring landscapes now, but come June and we'll have 3 SMALL HUTS IN THEM!!! That's going to make all the difference to the way they look I'm sure. >__>
