There was another video posted on YouTube of what appeared to be a gigantic molten kiln surrounded by fences in an unreleased area, but I can't find the video any more!

    It looked awesome, though.
I went there and, if my memory serves, I got a "You cannot proceed any further" message. Chances are the maker of that video either hacked his way through or simply did it a lot earlier on when SE may not have had the barrier in place to prevent entry.

Back on topic, and this is coming from a geologist, whether or not Limsa would be affected by O'Ghomoro's eruption would depend greatly on a number of factors, including weather, luck and what kind of volcano O'Ghomoro actually is. She's probably a Sicilian-type. With the legends of the water level once being much higher, this suggests the island having once been completely underwater and formed by limestone deposits before a sea-level drop. The volcano then pops its head out from underneath and goes bang with a lot of explosive ash. Less lava to worry about - it's the pyroclastic flows and ash fallout that Limsa would want to look out for, which can be blown in their direction by unfavorable winds. Even if lava did reach them, it would likely sizzle in the ocean.

Although, this is a game - the designers probably didn't focus on perfect Geology when designing it so anything could happen if O'Ghomoro erupts.

I believe the only proper response to this post is, "Cool story bro."

Good read dude. I would like some sort of 'realism' when they make events and stuff though..

Good read, indeed. We can only hope SE puts some thought into how they plan to use Mount O'Ghomoro.
