With all the predictions of darkness, smoke, and fire looming on the horizon; most people have directed there attention toward The Black Shroud and its seemingly eminent doom. It's logical.

However, some of the key-words these predictions of "disaster" use seem so familiar. As we look out over the vast space of La Noscea, there has always been something ominous on the horizon: the Volcano.

So, examining the text and hints and developers comments, do you think some, all, or part of this coming 7th Umbral Era could in fact be the eruption of the La Noscea Volcano? I know I'm unsure.

But, I'll keep looking to that distant peak... for any signs of smoke.

That could very well be, but I can only see one problem with that.. Limsa is No where near Gridania... or is it.. I cant tell its way off in the distance to make that assumption.

However, I do agree that a possibly, but why would the Dev post it as " Storm over Gridania" if that was the case?

I don't think it's limited to Gridania, just that letter is focused on Gridania and The Black Shroud. We have the lot's of rain in all zones and NPC's popping up and casting things in Ul'dah and such, that leads me to believe that it could encompass everything.

Yes I noticed that as well even Mor Dhona is Experiencing Rain, I dont think Mor Dhona nor Thanalan are known for Rain type Weather... hmmm. You dont think... Leviathan!!!

Well Leviathan is chilling near Limsa so.... Spoilers I guess, not really a big deal. R1-15 Limsa story: Though he's not really acting on his own, it seems he's helping the Sahagin.
