I'd like to see a situation where the pets were immune to most AoEs and knockbacks. Having to micro-manage your pet's behavior while trying to micro-manage other people's healthbars is just asinine.
I'd also like them to be a bit more intelligent about what they do. They seem to prioritize healing people in a slightly off-kilter manner. Sometimes it's a threshhold like 75%, sometimes it's if someone dips at all. You tell them not to use a particular ability, and they'll use it anyway, etc.
Happy to support this, It's about time for the darn fairy to learn who's boss! *cracks knuckles*
Yes please. I support this also. I'm merely leveling Arcanist so far, but I'll be a Scholar soon enough and some better pet control would be perfect!
Also!! The ability to activate pet skills while casting. Not sure why me casting would prevent my pet from popping Shining Topaz.

+1 From me as well. I might use eos more often with these changes, currently I just swift cast her at key times.
Personally, I'd like a "follow" option as "follow party member/PC". Many times I found myself wondering if Eos was far enough to heal the tank.
About the pet I.A., it may sounds complicate, but something akin to FFXII gambit would be good.

I love the suggestions but I would already be satisfied if we could use pet skills in macros.
I think the pet AI is mostly satisfactory at the moment, but I definitely think these are all great suggestions for more control. When I say satisfactory, I mostly mean that I've come to work with it/around it and there's nothing super-bad about it. ;o I just wanted to add in my voice for the "follow target" option too. Being able to "place" my faerie is lovely, but making her stalk-... follow the tank would be quite nice.

I'm all for the gambit suggestion.
I can't help but wonder if maximising Faerie heals might lead to a nerf at the end of the day. If SCH are in a position right now where they can do all of the content with janky AI, they could be superhealz with AI tuning. Macroing in particular would skew things hugely. For example:
Physick + Embrace together would equal the potency of Cure II, but have a much lower mana cost, to the point of being a bit overpowered.
You could really just macro that, and call it Cure II+. If they were to implement pet macros, they would have to nerf the pet's output too. By nerfing the pet's output, you're reducing the potency of the class and making it harder to make up for their weak spots (which both healing classes have). As an admitted non-SCH, but with an interest in leveling one in the near future, I don't see a solution to this. Perhaps adding a 3-second cooldown to Embrace? That in itself is already annoying, and would cripple the class in AoE encounters.
