JA setting Macros "unable to equip will exceed you alowed points"!

Every time I switch from a higher to a lower level job I get told I cant equip a JA because it will exceed my points.
I then go to my traits and abilities page only to see, the JA's for my selected job have equiped however the JA's they should be replacing have just been shunted down to the next action line, not allowing me to equip the next set of JA I want to set without manualy removing the ones I dont want.

Is there something I'm not doing to enable the unwanted JA's to unequip?

IT's very frustraiting as I spend time doing my macro's only to still have to manually set my JA's every time I job change!

I have not seen any thing mentioned by SE as this being a known problem, pls correct me if this isnt the case,

    Thanks

Just make macros to clear out your bars before changing.
    /eaction 1
    /eaction 2
    /eaction 3
etc etc ~10 for bar 1, 11-20 for 2, 21-30 for bar 3 and it will remove whatever skills are in those slots.

I really hope they just make it so that the game remembers which skills you've set for each job. For a game that revolves so much around being able to switch between classes, and in fact in fact encourages it, it's mind-boggling that it doesn't already do this.

I have the same problem when I switch from a higher level job to a lower level job. What happens is that when you switch to the new job, it calculates how many Ability Points you're going to have, and then chops off all the abilities that go beyond it from the end. But usually people have a couple abilities early in the Macro that have lower costs, like an additional basic attack (0 points), Guard (0 points), or Cure/Sacrifice (2 points). So when you try to overwrite that slot with something that takes 3 points, you can't do it because it would end up taking more points than you've got available.

If you select the job Macro, it will tell you that some abilities cost too many points to equiip. But if you go back into your Actions/Abilities Bar, Unequip the last one, then run the Macro again, they should all equip.

Obviously, it would be easier if there was some workaround from the coding side. Like if you try to equip an ability from a Macro, it lops off the last ability from the end of the list. But I don't know anything about coding, so I have no idea how complicated that would be.
