But seriously, this weeks regular maintenance is at a GREAT time. Thank you Square Enix for showing some quality customer service and avoiding prime time gaming hours for a VERY LARGE portion of your subscriber base.

For all those that constantly argued "It's a Japanese game, Japanese programmers, Japanese time frame...deal with it" I am certainly glad SE didn't listen. Maybe when your mom stops paying everything for you and you have to pay monthly bills, some of which are for monthly services, you will have a better understanding of why NA players were upset. It had nothing to do with US feeling entitled, or that the down time wasn't necessary to fix issues...just that SE had the ability to choose when to perform this activity. As seen by the last 2 weeks, they can do it very early in the morning as well as stagger NA/JP times and do them separately.

No, I do not want my $1.32 back for the 4 days each month I couldn't play. But if DirecTV told me that every Thursday when I got home from 8PM-10PM I would be unable to use my service....I'd be looking for a new service. It was about customer service and retention...and SE has done a great job.
